Gratefulness
As we honor Martin Luther King, Jr’s deep wisdom, courage and example this year, we, at A Network for Grateful Living, embrace our responsibility to contribute to Dr. King’s vision of “The Beloved Community.” We recognize that our online sanctuary and the Gratefulness community of which we are all a part, have the power to ease suffering and fear, inspire hope and courage, and cultivate the strength and love that are vital components of evolutionary social change.
In grateful recognition of the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. we offer the following illustrated quotes by Dr. King to inspire, uplift, and remember (please share freely!):

Very nice.
Amen! And again I say, Amen! Thank you for this beautiful tribute and especially the link to Dr. King’s vision of The Beloved Community, which I will reread in depth. May I offer another of his quotes: “The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice.” Amen!
We too love the quote “The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice,” and have it in our Word for the Day library. Did you know that the quote is a paraphrase of a quote by Theodore Parker? Interesting. Here’s some information about Theodore Parker. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodore_Parker Thanks for reminding us of the quote. It is powerful and hopeful indeed!
Thank you, Saoirse, for the reference. I did not know the origin of Dr. King's quote and appreciate being able to trace back intellectual provenance. I had the quote with a photo of an arcing rainbow on my office wall when I worked in the social services field (in DC on MLK Blvd!) many years ago. It takes a telescopic view that is at times a sorely needed heart lift. Thanks again for a beautiful tribute, and for all the love, time, and talent you and the rest of the Gratefulness Team pour in...

Thanks, dear Grateful Sea, your note is warmly appreciated! An arcing rainbow is exactly the image we too have paired with the quote. Beauty all around.
Mark Zuckerberg posted that quote the other day on his Facebook page!
