Gratefulness
Gratitude: we know it’s important for health and happiness, but is it a skill that can be taught? Educators are saying yes! In today’s world of high tech, high speed, and high pressure, students are rediscovering the lost art of the handwritten thank-you note. Ashley Weber, a high school teacher in Michigan, encourages students to slow down and reflect by participating in a project called Thank You Thursday. Thousands of letters later, the benefits are still rippling.
