WHEN: Sunday, June 25, 2017 3pm – 5pm PT WHERE: Acqua Hotel 555 Redwood Hwy, Mill Valley, CA
Tami Simon from SoundsTrue introduced Br. David Steindl-Rast at Eckhart Tolle Foundation’s “Living a Life of Presence”, a four-day event that took place in Huntington Beach, California from September 29th– October 1st, 2016.
Brother David talked about Life, Mystery, and “time” vs. “now,” and how Life is a continuous encounter with mystery and that IS “presence.” He talked about the unique individual “I” vs. the universal “self,” and how the “self” replaces fear with trust, and leads to peace, cooperation, and sharing. He addressed how Grateful Living practice teaches us to become fully alive in the present, by recognizing the gifts of the opportunity of each moment and doing something with that opportunity. Enjoy his talk here:
A three-part event to celebrate Br. David’s 90th birthday was held from 3 – 9 pm on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Cowell Theatre in San Francisco, CA.
