Gratefulness
Today I am grateful for the lovely time I spent with my daughter and granddaughter Saturday and Sunday. We went roller skating on Sunday. It is something we do together occasionally since my daughter skates regularly. It always takes me awhile to get my “skate legs” but once I do, I can almost skate like when I was a kid. And, when we skate I have a forever smile the whole time. But, the best part is when it is time for me to head home, my granddaughter doesn’t want me t...

It is something we do together occasionally since my daughter skates regularly. It always takes me awhile to get my “skate legs” but once I do, I can almost skate like when I was a kid. And, when we skate I have a forever smile the whole time. But, the best part is when it is time for me to head home, my granddaughter doesn’t want me to leave and holds on to me so tight. And, she always brings the three of us together for a group hug???? I hope all of you who share here have a lovely week and find a simple pleasure to enjoy ❤️????????
It is 3:30 a.m. because the world is quiet and I have it all to myself. And, although I am retired now I still get up at this time because it is so nice. I wish for me it could be 3:30 a.m. all day long.
Another origami for all of you….a tree with elves.
Yesterday I watched an amazing video about the science and math behind origami – “Between the Folds” a documentary by Vanessa Gould. I love origami! It was fascinating watching these scientists and brilliant minds creating the most beautiful and amazing origami I have ever seen! I also found out that origami is used in practical ways as well not just an art form. Origami folds were used in folding the three dimensional airbag to a flat plane. Here is an amazing seahorse – all folded with just one piece of paper. I would love to learn to fold this one since it is one of my favorite sea creatures. I hope all of you have a lovely day.
Faith. Faith can move mountains.
❤️
Dear grateful sea – I do hope you do get a chance to watch the documentary. I found it on youtube. It is one I will enjoy watching over and over.
Oh goodness No – I wish I did. Both the tree and seahorse were created by the french artist, Eric Joisel. Aren’t they just amazing?
Your recent adventures sound wonderful. We have a stupa here in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. I have been twice and it is a great place of peaceful meditation.
Sharon – thank you for this gentle reminder ❤️
Dear grateful sea – I know what you mean when you say words cannot properly express our hearts. ❤️
I love how you say “we all build the chorus all together”. ❤️
Might that fat star be Venus?
Another lovely poem THenry – thank you. I also like the second stanza ‘the stuff wraps us in a sprider’s web’ – so true. Why is letting go so difficult? I guess if I knew the answer to that it wouldn’t be so difficult ???? And, I also find now that I am much older, I am forever yearning for the simplicity of my youth. So, I will vow to be more childlike in my old age ???? Have a most lovely day ❤️
Thankfully some of that lovely white stuff is coming my way tomorrow. But, then I will have to worry about my daughter driving in it.
I hope all those needles chase away all your pain. Many quiet blessings of goodness be to you as well ❤️
Dear Ose enjoy your day full of flavors! It is the beautiful and simple things that are the most enjoyable
Sedona is a trip I must make. It has been brought to my attention now for the 3rd time. Sounds like a road trip is in order ???? I, too, love the Native American culture as does my granddaughter. I hope you have a lovely day started with your beautiful ritual and some more dancing in your living room to Native American music.❤️
Beautiful reflection Aine ❤️
