Gratefulness
focusing on the negative. For every negative thought, state a positive one.
I wish I had more artistic talent than I do, but I still love that I can appreciate it. I find that art often helps us expand our mind and see things from other perspectives that we might not have seen before. Life in itself is art. Creating life in itself is art. Our whole existence revolves around art in some way.
Early morning as the sun comes up. The world is quiet and you can relax before the rest of the world wakes up.
Appreciate
By radiating out as much positive energy as possible.
With work, school, and my son, I have been neglecting my stretching and exercise routine. I have been saying all week that Wednesday I will make sure I put in some time for my body. I commit myself to get my workout done, at least 30 minutes of studying, and at least 15 minutes of reading time with my little.
Pausing to think about what I am about to say before actually saying it.
When times are chaotic, I often say something I don’t mean or something hurtful rather than pausing to gain control of myself and my emotions before responding.
gratitude
I’d make sure I take more chances than I do now. I’d share as much knowledge as I could and I’d be pressed that much more to make peace with anything I felt holding me down in life.
a calming sense of compassion and kindness.
My grandmother and my Pastor. Both individuals were rocks for their families and brought so many people together. They both touched so many lives and tried to see the beauty in everyone.
Taking a moment to give thanks and truly appreciate every bit of work that went into making it possible to have that meal put perspective on how we take such simple things for granted. So I will say with gratitude and deeper sense of appreciation and mindfulness.
Loyalty & honesty
Stopping to think before I speak when I am overcome with an emotion. Whether that emotion be one of happiness, sadness, or anger.
Yes I can! I will try my absolute best to do so as well.
The pain from my past. Working through the bad memories, forgiving myself for any of my wrong doings, actually believing and knowing that not everyone is out to be hurtful and cause pain to others. Letting go of bad stress, anxiety, negative energy, and any worrisome thoughts that aren’t helping me achieve my goals.
Patience.
Update: I got it all done. Well, almost all of it. I did exercise, I did make sure to do the reading with my little, but I didn’t study. I traded study time in for some good family time with my brother (who was gone on a job and missed Christmas so my son and I have been missing him). I’ll do blood typing tonight and plan extra study time out for this weekend to make up for it.
I love the honesty in your answer. I think humans being are selfish by nature. It makes us feel good to give, that’s been studied and proven. I don’t think necessarily anything wrong with it, that’s just how we’re made. I think the trick is not expecting anything in return, which is also difficult (for me sometimes anyways). But as long you give, you feel good about yourself, the person receiving feels good about themselves, and its a win-win.
So true!
