Gratefulness
It may be odd to say it, but yes, my husband. We are so totally different, and as we have traveled the path as husband and wife, there are times I have wished we went our separate ways. Miraculously, I’ve gotten past the worst of my illness, and it looks like I’m going to be okay, and life is getting back to normal. But my husband hasn’t waned in is ...
It may be odd to say it, but yes, my husband. We are so totally different, and as we have traveled the path as husband and wife, there are times I have wished we went our separate ways. In 2015, I was diagnosed with late-staged cancer. Yes, he was more attentive than usual, and that actually sort of annoyed me. Miraculously, I’ve gotten past the worst of my illness, and it looks like I’m going to be okay, and life is getting back to normal. But my husband hasn’t waned in is re-upped devotion, and I am finally coming around to the fact that we are, indeed, partners in all that life throws our way. We are still very different, and I don’t like some of the things he is obsessed about, but he is my soul-mate in understanding the value of life. For the first time in a very long time, I say “thank you for my husband.” It’s way over-due.
