Gratefulness
I appreciate the interconnectedness of all; the mail carriers, grocery clerks, trash pickup, farmers, police, teachers, journalists, neighbors……and the list is vast. We ARE interdependent.
I am in a clogged flow today. I know it won’t last. So I will sit with this disconcerting feeling and view it as temporary. In the meantime, I will continue with my daily practices, perhaps a bit slower, and give thanks for all I recognize as being peaceful and of beauty.
A little incident: we went dancing last evening. He failed to lead and I did not know what he wanted me to do; I told him. He replied testily he knew. In the space of a few seconds I realized he felt embarrassed, annoyed and defensive and my reactive words amplified those feelings. I apologized. We had a good time the rest of the evening. Kindness would have been if I had kept silent in the first place, but since I did not, the next best thing I could do a few seconds later was apolog...

Remembering my own life, which is a microcosm of macrocosim. I see how I am accompanied by Love and how I have come thru difficulties, not unscathed but still growing, learning and maturing. That gives me hope for all.
To live today in as much awareness of Incarnation as I can.
Being grateful always has a positive effect on me. It doesn’t necessarily bring me happiness. If I am struggling with a level 7 pain or depression, being thankful about anything can lower the level substantially. And if I am feeling good already, being thankful potentiates that feeling.
By accepting with equanimity ALL of life, including the things that would be considered negative and tragic occurrences.
Gratitude is a constant reminder that we do have goodness surrounding us.
That I have lived my life thus far.
Thought is energy, words, too, are an energy. They potentate, perhaps even exponentially. As Michael pointed out, then “a new albeit short lived community is formed. ” If we continued to think and express gratitude, perhaps the community and communion would be longer and become permanent.
It feels wonderful!!
By being aware in each moment and sending forth grace.
In my life I find that if I ask myself “what does Love do? (since God is Love)” there is an attitudinal shift that is helpful in whatever situation I am in.
Another opportunity to live and be loved.
Enjoy the “haze”, Kevin. It is transitory and you might gain some insights you might otherwise never have! Cheers! Deb
Welcome, Kelly! Bed rest can be a great time to consider things you might otherwise not have time to consider.
I am sharing one of my favorite grooks by Piet Hein and hope it pleases you! “Put up in a place where it’s easy to see, the cryptic admonishment T T T. When you see how depressingly slowly you climb, It’s well to remember that Things Take Time. ” Cheers, Kevin! Deb
God’s peace continues with you, Ose! Farewell until we read from you again! Deb
Go for it! Have fun and enjoy, Mary!
Best of success to your medical team and prayers for a good recovery, Kevin!
