Gratefulness
“Not to do” list: Hurry through this day. Fret about what doesn’t get done. Forget about the people who are dealing with disaster in Texas, Florida, Mexico, the various islands.
The next person I come in contact with. The people who come to mind.
Everything has the potential to spark aliveness for me. I think the underlying quality is being grateful, thankful and turning toward what is presenting itself to me in that quality.
A smile or laugh seems to be a part of my daily life, but sometimes it seems contrived. Not that contrivance is bad, better to fake it till you make it than not to do it at all. As far as “the last time” was, I think instead I will be on the lookout today for smiles and laughter. Blessings of hilarity be upon all those who come to this site today!????
Continue to bear witness of this wonderful planet we call Earth.
I agree with Kevin that the idea of paying it forward is a cultural phenomenon. That being said, I try to be kind in thought and action by paying attention so I can recognize when and how to act.
Breakfast!
The word itself has a sound that helps describe it. A definition seems nebulous. A verb, perhaps. Grace extended. Grace accepted. Felt. Heavenly. Now.
So many, both the unpleasant and pleasant. I would honor my son, my firstborn, at this time. When my mate of 40 years decided we needed to divorce, my son saw me thru while still treating his father respectfully. He reminded me to stay with my spiritual practices, to continue journaling, and even today makes time to phone visit weekly. Our relationship reminds me that my life has not been a waste even though my life’s work shows very little tangible results.
OMG!! Too many to enumerate! Every day. I probably have not even noticed some although I am on the lookout. Some kindness is intentional, some the natural outgrowth of a reality that surrounds me (and everyone). I am thankful and pass it on .
Nothing, really. If a block comes up I can always release it and return to simplicity. I can always begin again.
I loved wholeheartedly.
So true, Kevin!
Always Learning, here are smiles for you! ????????????????????☺️????????????????????????????????
BeccaH7, sending you a smile! or two…. ????????????????????????????????????????????????
Wow, I really like your name, starblanket! How whimsical! Delightful!
I rather like your reply, Brin. Sometimes we think we HAVE to DO something, as if continuing life depends on us, when the reality is it doesn’t.
Christina, I am internally smiling! I have an unwelcome upper respiratory virus going on and when I smile outwardly for long the muscles in my face shout, “Can we stop smiling? My face is killing me!”
Yeah, I am with you there, Kevin!
I checked out that website, Lunamugicae, and find it inspiring. I am glad you mentioned it in your post! Thank you! I will bless you each time I peruse it! Cheers!
