Gratefulness
I show others that I care through responsiveness and paying attention. Making sure to check in on friends and family and congratulate them on any milestones/comfort them during downfalls is important.
I could live more simply by understanding my true goals in life. What is it that brings me the most joy? I feel if I could recognize this then perhaps I could have more focus to my life. Often I feel unmotivated and cluttered and I am trying to find this peace.
A cultural tradition I cherish in the USA is free bathrooms. You never realize how great it is until you really have to pee and need to dig a euro coin out of your purse! Also, without free bathroom usage there are much more -ehem- smells in the street. I also appreciate the culture of being welcoming. Many people are eager to help and are kind to strangers.
If they were willing to respond honestly, I believe it would be an eye opening experience. I feel many people often forget to reflect on how they are truly doing, and may be caught off guard by someone else’s questioning. I believe it would create a greater bond and understanding between us and would also reveal some insights into the other person’s values. Learning what makes them feel positive or negative would say a lot about what they find important.
