Gratefulness
To put my hands together in thanks and say in Japanese “itadakimasu,” I humbly received this nourishment.
To be more observant of people and things around me, to listen attentively, and to not be so quick to react to things, would help me to have a positive outlook over the year.
I would like to be kind to those who may have treated me negatively in the past.
I feel most generous when people who have been nasty to me ask for help. I do what I can and don’t dwell on any past experiences with them.
As I age, I am more grateful. People, known and unknown, have sacrificed on my behalf.
My 3 year old grandniece was laughing and giggling while running around. There was no purpose or goal in what she was doing. She is full of love and life. That is precious,
