Gratefulness
A work in progress, but thank God I’m not done yet.
What wouldn’t I?
In our weakness we find strength in Divine Providence. When we can’t do, we learn to rely on God’s Can. In this way, our personal hindrances become our furtherances, if we learn to trust Him. See 2 Cor 12:7-10.
Envy can show you where your priorities and values are, for good or bad. Self-evaluation in all things helps us to grow, in our desires as much as anything else.. Do you want things or do you want joy for everyone? Everyone has things they want and there is nothing wrong with that in itself. Envy is just a want that refuses to celebrate someone else’s happiness, with a preference to sacrifice someone else’s happiness for our own. In learning to celebrate and be happy for others...

In learning to celebrate and be happy for others’ success, we can grow in love. Envy can point us to the places we need to grow in love for others – be it material possession, physical beauty (so subjective!), career success or anything else.
Moments of Grace, when ‘wordly’ concerns are forgotten. In those times, a ray of sunshine, the sound of the breeze, the light playing on the leaves of the trees, the cool air of a winter morning. Simplicity presents its own song our hearts know instinctively and can sing along with.
