Gratefulness
I think envy has two sides. One which makes you angry and unhappy to see other people have what you feel you deserve. One which makes you feel – hey I can do this. If I don’t want to do the time- then it really won’t be mine. Silly to be mad at the others when it is myself . Listen and learn.
silence within. the only sound I hear is my heart singing
Nature. The air after a thunderstorm. The silence of the world after a major snowstorm. The beautiful first flowers of spring. The quietness of a fall day with contrasting colors of the leaves and bright blue sky. A walk in the woods or along the ocean demands a quietness in my body. So much to see in the world when we are quiet and refreshed. To see the world through the eyes of a child energizes me. A butterfly on a flower on a lazy hazy summer day? Beam me up Scotty!
When I share and listen to silly jokes from children. Seeing their little lightbulbs come on when they understand humor. People need to know it is okay to laugh at life. Humor to me is the bright light of hope in a dark situation. What did the mother buffalo say to her son on the first day of school? Bison. 🙂
being on this side of the grass for another day. clean slate. 24 hours of another sweet gift of life.
today is here- ready or not. Yesterday will never return. Often when you are at the end of something- you are really at the beginning of something else. knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is enlightenment.
the sickness followed by the loss of loved ones. the pregnancies lost before birth. the smile of my firstborn. my inner strength of faith and unending love and grace of God. the silence is not empty for me- it is full of answers. Just because you can not see the air, does not mean you stop breathing, and just because you can not see God, does not mean you stop believing. the sickness followed by the loss of loved ones. the pregnancies lost before birth. the smile of my firstborn. my inner strength of faith and unending love and grace of God. the silence is not empty for me- it is full of answers. Just because you can not see the air, does not mean you stop breathing, and just because you can not see God, does not mean you stop believing. To me, my spiritual life is a private source of support, love and comfort. I can draw on this side of myself easily as closing my eyes. I keep it full and alive with prayers and thankfulness to God.
My wish for the world is to know that Love is all there is. Whatever version of love you feel. Make the world welcome the love that you have. Be the love that you do not receive in your world, but need, want and desire. Look beyond man made troubles, spread your version of love. Love is all we really have. Love is the answer. Be the love. Welcome the love. Love is the foundation of peace, mercy and happiness.
Everything is temporary: emotions, thoughts, things and people. Don’t be attached, just flow along. I hold my memories too tight. Fun to glance back, but I don’t live there anymore.. We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like. Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.
to be kind to myself and be patient. take your time and recharge and come back stronger. make it happen- shock everyone
Grace is love unassembled.
to always leave footprints of kindness wherever you go
When a flower does not grow, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.
I am most grateful for the lessons of life my parents taught me by the way they lived their lives. I learned by example and my siblings and I still laugh about some of the subtle lessons we learned. But the freedom of choosing our paths in life were given freely with the love and wisdom of their support. No one to blame but yourself. Between choosing what is right and what is kindness? – Always choose kindness and you will always be right. Honor nature- this is a gift from God. The jewels of their voices even today keep me spilling over with gratefulness.
