Gratefulness
Ah massage…..I have treated myself to monthly massages for several years. It is so good for my health and physical and mental well-being. My gratitude today is dedicated to my wonderful massage therapist and dear friend. She (Micol) has been working on me now for 3 years and knows my body very well. She always heals the aches and pains of my aging body. Many blessings and love to all you who share here ❤️
I have to say it would be all of you. We have never met but each and every reflection of yours for the daily question helps me towards a more grateful attitude by helping me realize things I have never considered. You open my eyes and heart to other ways of seeing things.
A genuine smile for everyone I see. One of the things I love the most that is very healing for me is when I encounter a lovely stranger who greats me with a simple smile and a hello as they pass. I will never see them again but that friendly smile stays with me and truly lifts my heart.
What is also inspiring is all of your reflections everyday for the daily question. I look forward to it every morning.
The resiliency in others when they have been through and lost so much. How whole communities and others from all over come together to help them in their need.
Sitting in the dark. Thanks to my grandma who taught me that the dark is soft and gentle because I was so afraid of it when I was little. Sitting in the dark is so peaceful, gentle and sweet. Also, falling asleep together with my granddaughter. We always talk until we fall asleep. It is as if our souls are speaking to one another.
I have found that when you can forgive it is yourself, the forgiver, who receives the greatest gift of forgiveness. I also know that forgiveness is not easy.
That would be everyone I have loved and lost – my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, sweet pets and most recently my niece just this past May. Her birthday is Sunday, January 14th.
I do not take the miraculous blessings of my body for granted and haven’t done so in years. Probably since I was a teenager and was complaining about my skinny legs until one day I saw an amputee with no legs. I then realized I had the most beautiful legs in the world because I had two legs that worked! I have been a runner since 1986 and every Christmas I treat myself to a morning running (my Christmas present to me) because I can run. So I will never take this body of mine for granted ev...
So I will never take this body of mine for granted even though it is aging and I run slower or sometimes run/walk. It is because I still can! And I do my best to take care of it because I intend to continue kicking butt when I am 90 God willing!
Now that I am older I don’t care what others think. I talk to myself and sing out loud wherever I might be. My granddaughter and I play Elf in any store where it strikes us…”We are in a store and we are singing!” with great joy and laughter. My most outrageous expression of gratefulness would be that I am now not afraid to be me!
How beautiful Cintia! I received an orchid for my birthday (in a pot for indoors since I live with snow in the winter). I would love any sage advice!
Thank you, John for this great reminder! Very well put!
Yes!
Lovely response!
Dear Cintia ❤️❤️❤️ (thank you)
Being married for 42 years! is indeed inspiring. I wish you 42 more years together ❤️ (My parents had 60 years together)
I have never been to the Alps but I know the feeling you express when reaching the summit when hiking up a mountain. For me it makes all my earthly problems so small and insignificant. It brings into focus what really matters ❤️
Back at you Anna. You have kind words for everyone ❤️❤️❤️ (and now I know where to find my emojis for hearts :))
Thank you, Anna. I certainly hope so 🙂
Thanks Kathy. We often forget about the mind as part of our miraculous body!
