Gratefulness
I am feeling serenity more and more often in my daily life, in spite of the ups and downs, something new for me, I used to think anxiety was the normality. I can only guess it’s thanks to the practice of gratitude and meditation
Morning meditation is helping in getting in touch with the peaceful core before I encounter others
Like Anna, I appreciate different qualities from different friends, at different times. Having said that, one thing I am particularly grateful for is when a friend “gets it” or in other words listens, encourages but doesn’t give unsolicited advice, although I have to admit I’ve done it at times (thank you, a reminder for me to be a better friend)
As in the latest questions and word of the day, remember to pause before responding and approaching everything with love
My great-aunt Maria, love, tenderness, humour and contentment personified. I miss her dearly
Putting to rest the planning and plotting for the year, uf! Thank you
Greatful sea, how beautiful, I am glad the post was reinstated. Greatful sea, how beautiful, I am glad the post was reinstated. My daughter is supposed to be in the autistic spectrum, so I have been educating myself on the condition, and I know that sensory overload is one of the most dificult things that come with the package. I recently read that being highly sensitive is a “blurse” (both a blessing and a curse 🙂 Anyway, although your sensory overload is due to different reasons, have you heard about the relationship between sensory overload and the absortion of certain minerals like potassium and magnesium by the body cells? Apparently stress compromises this capacity but having foods/ supplements that contain these minerals can help to alleviate and sometimes eliminate sensory overload. I think I have oversimplified, but perhaps a professional naturopath may be able to help, it is in any case advisable to get professional guidance if taking supplements. Blessings and may you treasure your sensitivity
Your reply inspires me Anna, these are simple yet meaningful blessings in life ????
Mee too!
It is so true and I am so glad I am not alone in this either!
???? funny and useful allegory, thanks for sharing Aine, I also fret a lot about unanswered messages, and the thing is, it’s not even my responsibility nor it is something that is my hands !
Thanks Anita for your kind words, isn’t life often a big misunderstanding? I’d like to strive for more understanding, blessings to you ❤️
Wow Manda, lately I have a fascination with clouds and this is amazing, thanks for sharing
That’s why I got so excited when I heard about a project called Mindup, by the Hawn Foundation (actress Goldie Hawn), which introduces knowledge about the brain and quick meditation practices or “brain breaks” into school curricula in the US. It is an essential part of education which can really change the world
Such a good starting point Michael, thanks!
Thank you Anna for this reminder about living moment by moment and trusting that all shall be well, it is helpful, may you get well soon from your flu, I think you are right, our body gives us signs
It is wonderful Anna, how we are not alone in our thoughts and worries and even with the timing of these thoughts!
Would love to learn that too !!
I’m with you dear Ursula, this is almost like an art I am slowly learning
Have you tried meditation? The Insight Timer app is helping me
