Gratefulness
I’m 71. When I turned 60 I felt like I had a lot of wisdom and started to think I needed to share that with everyone. Of course that didn’t last because I soon saw that I was still learning and one of the things that I needed to learn was how to listen to others.
No that I’m 71, I feel a lot of joy in just being. I feel joy in seeing the God within all creation – people, bugs, plants, cars, and myself. I think that comes with age.
Brother David suggests asking frequently, “What is surprising in this moment?” This simple shift in my looking has brought me to be present and conneced to Spirit. And, it feels like playing.
