Gratefulness
With so much noise in the world distracting and fracturing our focus, gratefulness is a joyous reminder of whats important. Bless you all!
“Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is richness of self.” ― May Sarton
I am a comfortable space for people to be in and around. I offer my time, patience and an open heart. I offer up my artwork as a meditative place to reflect on stillness, the wonder of nature and the joy I find in living.
Apart from some wonderful friends who have been there for me during a very difficult health problem, I am grateful for my four-legged friends who provide me with unconditional love and loyalty. No matter how difficult the day has been, my dogs always greet me with such love and loyalty.
I am mindful to remain present with my encounters with strangers. I used to fill my head (out of nervousness and anxiety) with thoughts of what I need to say next but I have since learnt the gentle art of stillness. Its ok not to fill every moment with words. The stillness seems to steer my heart in a new direction and gives me time to privately bless the moment and see what insight or heart contribution I can make with the encounter.
I have learned to trust my own instincts more and to look within instead of validation from the outside. My sense of being is not dependant on any person, place or thing. And recently, I’ve learned to say ‘no’ without guilt. Farewell to the people pleaser… hello grateful soul!!
