Gratefulness
Recently I learned in a painful way that I need to say ” I didn’t like that” in the moment. If I dismiss my feelings or try to convince myself that it wasn’t a big deal anyway, my subconscious will come up with less than gracious ways, while I am completely unaware, to balance things out, which of course won’t.
Yes, mercy is the key to friendship dear Anna, as David Whyte said, and I agree with Aine that you always show it, thank you and Sylvie for this reflections
Thank you Francine, I think it is a good quality to pause before speaking but not to stay silent, so your words SAY SO in capital letters will be a good reminder for me when needed
Me too Nancy, at almost 50
So nice to hear this grateful sea, I also find these objects funny… I will keep in mind the motto ‘see the silly’ ???? as a reminder to cultivate this gift, thank you !
Oh, will definetly check it out !
Dear Anna, I am glad I could make you laugh ! Yes, I would have also felt embarrassed to do that, but in the South African context this is not a rare occurrence, even in a city, and I bet that this woman couldn’t have cared less, which I quite like ????
???? how funny! I wonder how many people saw the same… yes, such a blessing to be able to laugh at oneself..
????
I cannot add anymore than what pur dear friends have said, only that it is very good yo hear your news Cintia, and your appreciation for the blessings of medicine we have today. Take care friend
This is brave dear Ose
What a good idea Aine! To add laughter in your day intentionally as part of the healing treatment 🙂 Oh, I loved I dream of Jeannie… One of the things that delight me the most is to see the silly of everyday life. The other day, while I was walking to work, I saw a woman dragging a vacuum cleaner with its wheels, by holding the pipe while walking on the sidewalk, here in the middle of the city, and I laughed thinking that she could have been walking a dog. I actually wanted to take a pict...

I actually wanted to take a picture and share it here but thought it was a bit mischievous laughing at someone else. But, as in the words of Václav Havel “The only thing I can recommend at this stage is a sense of humor, an ability to see things in their ridiculous and absurd dimensions, to laugh at others and at ourselves, a sense of irony regarding everything that calls out for parody in this world. In other words, I can only recommend perspective and distance.”
hahaha! God is a bit ADD 🙂 thanks for this Aine! it reminded me how I thought I may have finally found the right school for my daughter when we went to the information talk and I thought the principal was ADD. Viva the difference ! Dear Ose, how beautiful, I am glad you are enjoying, and like grateful sea, I have been thinking of your words, particularly I relate in that it is possible to trust again by following your heart in who to trust, yes and yes…
Thank you Nancy <3
Oh what a beautiful perspective, I am touched ! I hadn’t seen the fact that for a child they must be pretty big creatures !
Thank you ! yes, she gets entranced by themes and stays with them sometimes for quite a while, talking about them, drawing them, playing them as characters, and so on!
oops ! (tail)
Dear grateful sea, I am answering your question here, as there is no option below. You are right, it is my daughter’s drawing of a peacock displaying the tale. She was drawing them all the time when I joined gratefulness ????
Dear Cintia, joining you and everyone in trust that all will be fine
So true dear grateful sea, your words are a balm for me right now, it’s so good to hear ‘we can’, thank you my friend
