Gratefulness
Not sure if anyone posted this story recently, but Nipun, the founder of Service Space has recently been awarded with an Unsung heroes of compassion award, by the Dalai Lama. Thought that you might like to read. 🙂 http://www.servicespace.org/blog/view.php?id=14471
I wonder if I could also share a song with you that I’ve just discovered too. It was sung by Muslims and Jews on February 14th this year and it’s called ‘One Day’ – moved me to tears (and prayer!) www.servicespace.org/blog/view.php?id=23608

I am grateful for our Cub Scouts. Working with them I see them grow from the little ones they were when they joined us to the confident youngsters they are by the time they move on. They are always a reminder to me to stay young at heart. For the seed of their joy within me, I am grateful 🙂
I wish you all Peace and Joy today, may we find a place to rest a while and to take a breath. May we find our Peace in that breath and may we find our Joy in that Peace.
Which reminds me… that my Love is not my own, but ours, that my Peace is not my own, but ours to share. And though I use the word ‘my’, I believe that Love is not a thing to hold, to own, but Love is Love, it is who we are. And I can know Love. And WE can know Peace. And we can KNOW Joy.
Who is this Love, this Peace, this Joy? Is it far from us, is it outside of us, of course we know that this is not true! It is who WE are, where WE are, here in this holy place of you and me, of us.
Who is this Courage, this Hope, this Strength, if not our Love?
Having read today’s Daily Question, I decided that I would plant seeds today. Instead of simply planting, I find that I am, at present harvesting past seeds planted, seeds which have grown within me (us) and are even now, bearing fruit. Let us sow AND reap today. We shall ALL plant, we shall all water and wait and tend. Happy Day everyone.
:)))
Longing helps my heart call out in an underlying aching prayer and keeps my eyes open wide so as to find my Love everywhere.
Yes, Love is soooo inseparable, and we only ever need shift our gaze upon ourselves, our neighbours and our world just that tiniest bit to see that Love is always right here within us, in our midst :)))
Yes, we keep her Spirit in our hearts, don’t we?
Yes, that is so True, and it is our hearts that lead the way.
Hello Anna, I too have trouble with the size of little me and the enormity of this great big beautiful world! 🙂 You know, I think that there are no small prayers, no big prayers either for that matter! Just as there are no small concerns and no large concerns either. I think that since all is connected, then all is the same in the eyes of our love. Love doesn’t see my personal concerns, doesn’t measure them in any way as bigger or smaller than those concerns which WE think are big, worldwide or overwhelming. I don’t think that there is any little to us, or to our prayers. Yes, God understands. And when we take our eyes off of ourselves and how much we can pray or how small or big our faith and look to the enormity of God’s Love for us then, well, why should we be concerned at all. :))) We are his, we are Love’s and Love is who we are underneath all of this, all of this world, this body, this mind. Strip it all away and what remains is only ever and always Love. Not my Love, not your Love, but Love’s Love, God. That’s the way I see it. 🙂 What I like about this initiative is that I can use it as a reminder and as you say, a focus, otherwise I’d flounder about quite uselessly! haha! :)))
Bless your courage, you’re in my heart.
Thank you both 🙂
can I ask what your username means please? It’s only because, a couple of years ago I saw this stenciled on the ground and on a stone in the park. It would give me a great lift whenever I saw it.
When I remember to do so, I try to sit with these feeling before me in the Light of Love, I in the Light and invite them in too 🙂
For sure it is! And how lovely to have had your eyes opened to it in such a splendid and wonder-filled way!
I love that, so very poetic, “plunging like a golden sword to pierce the earth.” Have a fantastic day 🙂
Received with Love 🙂
We are in this world but we are of Love. We are all of us in this Love together, though we may not yet realise this. Keep sharing 🙂
What a lovely sound the rain makes :)))
These are lovely! Am seeing stones like this everywhere, I can see a weekend crafting coming up! :)))
