Gratefulness
I am an Essene Christian ( read as Esoteric rather then Exoteric) referencing the teachings of Dr Stylianos Atteshlis (aka Daskalos)
What do I have in abundance? What part of this abundance do I long to share?
Good Health and lots of Etheric Vitality to move around in it.
And I don’t “long” to share it…I just DO the share it by such things as the regular 56 day return visit to my Canadian Blood Donor Clinic to-day….and so..
rather then, as the ‘word of the Day’ says it… “ThankLiving Day”, I make it another “ThanksGivingLiving Day”...
rather then, as the ‘word of the Day’ says it… “ThankLiving Day”, I make it another “ThanksGivingLiving Day”
How can I stretch my heart to love bigger? To love more of the world?
Three words representing what is required to “stretch the etheric heart” and return home to our true nature, our Permanent Inner Self …which is another name for “Unconditional Love”.
Alignment, Attunement, At-One-Ment.

This is what Joshua Immanuel the Christ was teaching in his parable about the woman and the three measures of flour. Christ said: The kingdom from heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.” The woman represents our personality and the three measures of flour are our three bodies: material, Psychical and Noetical. The woman had to mix them in a balanced proportion with leaven {the Etheric Vitality) until they were one. So this is our task – to blend, harmonize and connect our material body, with the body of our emotions and the body of our thoughts and unite them as one.
Make these three bodies resonate together in harmony and ALL lower forms of love ( reflected love) will be identical to the original ONE ( unconditional ) Love.
When has someone given me the right kind of help just when I needed it?
First and foremost, that would the Guardian Archangel, the one who has all wisdom as its own nature and will always be accompanying every individual through to Theosis.

What the Eastern Religions ( and the copies made by the New Age beliefs ) call “Karma” are but the “corrections” one receives from ones Guardian Archangel, the one who has “the Law is written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness … ‘ (Romans 2: 15).
But unlike Eastern views Karma is NOT a punishment.
It is lesson given to the Present-Day-Personality’s self, the egoism, to know the truth. In every fault, every mistake, there is a lesson behind which one will get. So, it is not a punishment. It is a necessary condition. And O’yes sometimes these “stings of consciousness” are very painful, yet they are always deserved and for a good purpose.
This question reflects back on the a recent “Question of the Day” “When do know there is enough” When one over does a bad habit one will be re-minded accordingly and justly.
What “awakening” lives on in me?
I do not always sound critical of the moderators choice of words here but the word “dream” is part of the western attitude / mind set / which is generating the unfortunate conditions it finds itself in to-day. IT is the ( Insert the name of Country, religion, political party etc ) “collective dream” come true because it is a refection of who they collectively are! How could it be otherwise?

There is a clever poem by an anonymous source which goes……
“If wishes were horses then beggars would ride.” ( say these words out loud with eyes closed….they will make you feel you are riding on a horse, bridle in hand and feeling rather silly that words can trick you so well! )
Wishes, hopes, dreams, are the common escape mechanisms which egoism uses to hid from the problems that IT IS creating. Rather than “dreaming” I propose “awakening” as a substitute word because awakening means that one is choosing to faces LIFE head on, consciously, lovingly, truthfully and not relying on some mysterious force or luck to DO the life we are meant to BE.
How can I make a difference with anything I have that others might need?
This question “pocked” me enough so that I had to reply twice to-day. because It “flows” with the regular blood donor clinic visit which I booked to-day. One could say it had a “needling” effect on me. Enough to return and add it. How “iron-ic”.

Good to see that the Daily Question is again in line with “Word of the Day” To-day’s quote from Albert Schweitzer is a particular gem to use often in daily reflection. Of course the “inner light” never goes out completely but his inclusion of the “spark that reignites” is a simple and directly reminder that this “inner light” is very real and one does not have to be a clairvoyant to know it is there in oneself and others. Sometimes varies in strength, yes, but it aways, aways, comes from an inexhaustible source …I call it, “Being-ness” .
So my reply to to-days question this .
..by staying as aware as possible of the “Being-ness” within me and all around me, and let it flow as IT wishes too.
“Sometimes our light goes out, but is blown again into instant flame by an encounter with another human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light.” DR. ALBERT SCHWEITZER
Who has inspired me to live my most authentic life?
Taking Right out of the “Word for the Day”
“We belong together in a deep solidarity which the heart discerns.” BR. DAVID STEINDL-RAST
The “Who” is the “we” in that Brother David’s quote…and the “We” is the one “Solidarity” of all Humanity, the Christhood or Logos.
What is enough? How do you “know” it?
Every child from 2 year of age on up knows that!
“You never know what is enough, until you know what is MORE THAN enough! 🙂
For which voices in your life are you most grateful?
As Terry Andrews said in reply to yesterdays’ question..
Quote “My guardian Angel. I often forget that this sweet being is always with me and I am deeply grateful not to be alone.”
Yes indeed! When the Guardian Archangel steps in to correct an inappropriate behaviour you really know your off track! But never along.
The ground beneath me, the air around me – what is one other thing that is always here that I may have forgotten to be grateful for?

Ether. The orthodox scientists call it “dark energy” and calculate that it is this -“not visible to the material eyes”- therefore “dark energy” making up 93% of the Universe. It is the “bread” in the Christian prayer …”give us this day our daily bread” …The Hindus call this energy/force ‘prana’, while others give it different names….we Essene Christians call this electro-magnetic forces, “etheric vitality” and use it to create protective ‘light’ shields around our bodies , and many many more application ……As it is said in the NT by Joshua Emmanuel…”When thine eye is single thy body is full of light.” Archangel Raphael is the primary costodian of this energy but Urial is the over all “balancer” always.
Let us next mention ‘Raphael’-Ra-fa-EI, in ancient Egyptian Ra stands for the sun, and fa, for vibration: Sun-vibration-God. Raphael’s vibrations express a violet colour, in all its shades. This colour stems from the mixture of red (Michael) and blue (Gabriel), which tallies with the role of Raphael as fellow-worker with the other two. The planet in its entirety is within Raphael’s domain, who controls the electro-magnetic forces-etheric vitality, as we call it. The Hindus call this force ‘prana’, while others give it different names.
Deep in the depths of your being there is a motivating force, what is it?
The “I Am” or Absolute Being-ness as encapsulated in the Blessed Trinity.
That is my brief reply but others such as Jung called it “Transformative Impulse” and explained it very nicely as my “Link with the infinite”……..

Quote “The decisive question for man is: Is he related to something infinite or not? That is the telling question of his life. Only if we know that the thing which truly matters is the infinite can we avoid fixing our interest upon futilities, and upon all kinds of goals which are not of real importance… The more a man lays stress on false possessions, and the less sensitivity he has for what is essential, the less satisfying is his life. … If we understand and feel that here in this life we already have a link with the infinite, desires and attitudes change. In the final analysis, we count for something only because of the essential we embody, and if we do not embody that, life is wasted….”End Quote

As a Temporary personality I live on this planet……..As a Spirit-Soul this planet lives in me. All that the Temporary takes in …be it food or air, water etc is in existence thanks to the Archangels of the elements who create and control the material realm.
Every morsel of food is a gift from this planet. What can I do to remember this more fully?

Live in the awareness, (using meditation and contemplation daily), of these Holy Archangels and the unceasing work they do as part of the Divine Plan within Absolute Beingness.
Take a deep breath. Now take another. How does slowing down make you feel?
It always feels just as Rumi expresses in this poetic verse’s…last line. ….only “That”
Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi, or Zen. Not any religion
or cultural system. I am not from the east or the west, not out of the ocean or up

from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all. I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or any
origin story. My place is the placeless, a trace of the traceless. Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing
human being.

What fears are getting in the way of fully appreciating the fact that I am alive today?
Well firstly, the “fears getting in the way” are either cleaver elementals or emotions generated by anxiety which is generated by the egoism of the Temporary personality …….those possibilities haven’t shown up yet so I will have to wait and watch for it.

In the meantime I will post this quote from Br David’s “Deeper then Words” which explains precisely how I, as an Essene Christian, will knowingly be the “Watcher”.
Start Quote
“Greek statues typically have a support leg and a free leg. Beginners in self-awareness stand with their support leg firmly in their ego consciousness. The goal of spiritual training is to shift our weight until the center of gravity rests in the true Self-our Buddha nature, as Buddhists would say; other traditions use other expressions. Saint Paul writes, “I live, yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). Try to feel your way inside toward that core of yourself where you are the Watcher who is not your thoughts but can watch them. This going-inward unveils your Self to yourself-your Christself. The more we identify with this reality, the more we become uniquely ourselves and, at the same time, one with all others. Only this Self can “believe” in the full sense; only our true Self can trust unconditionally.”
How can I enter my encounters and experiences with fewer assumptions or expectations?
Firstly. Simplifying the question down to… .”Choose Life…..how?”
Answer: “With Spirit”
iow, with the alignment of ones own inner truth / Selfhood / which is God / and the gratefulness for both being given Life and the mind to KNOW one is Life.
I had to Ref Dr David R. Hawkins this morning so will quote him here ..
“Life itself can be termed spirit....
“Life itself can be termed spirit.
Spirit is the aliveness that accompanies and is an expression of alignment with life energy. The power of high energy attractor pattems is anabolic, sustaining life: their opposite are catabolic, eventually leading to death. True power equals life equals spirit, whereas force equals weakness equals death. When an individual has lost or lacks those qualities we term spiritual, he becomes devoid of humanity, love and self-respect, perhaps selfish and violent.
When a nation veers from its alignment with the spirit of man, it can become an international criminal.
What would love do?
To bring another dynamic to this question, but still staying within the ultimate fact that, “everything emanates from one source and that source is Divine Love therefore all ‘do’-ing is also love”…,
it is worth contemplating this quoted from Daskalos
“Hatred is wounded Love”
Dear Denis
I wish to post this expression of gratitude and admiration for your sharing of insights after making the brave choice to step back and look at what life is telling all of us.
(But not before also giving a ‘wave’ to your subtile sense of humor ….”A foot doctor that lost his footing” O’ :-0 very good!…… I will return it with a favourite quote. Seneca, “Fate leads the willing and drags along the reluctant” This is perhaps a clear pointer for those who...

At this current point in western history the need to listen to the “inner prompting” has never been greater. Not just those of our generation that didn’t stop and listen to ‘Uncle Joe’ (as like minded called him) but those generations following after. The news every day this loaded with examples, so I don’t wish to belabour that here.
Instead I will to stay with your key point, “I realized that real transformation is not governed by outer success but inner peace and contentment. “ Yes and I am sure you know the poetic verse of Rumi ( All peace and Blessings be to him) which says …”Why do you stay in prison when the doors are so wide open. Step outside the tangle of fear thinking, live in silence”.
So Yes! to “realizing” with gratitude …. Realizing becomes understanding and understanding with experience become Wisdom. This fact is no different now then back before the great Greek Philosophers. As Brother David Steindl-Rast said, quoting an Eastern college, “The name “Yoga” originally meant, “Understanding””. I am an Essene Christian so I have much in common with our Sufi brothers and sisters who take the English word Understanding and convert it into “Standingunder”. Standingunder implies doing as the Hippoocrates quote says, “the patient decides to heal him himself”. Or, (back to Uncle Joe again ) it is as implied in the ‘Legend of the Fisher King’ the Hero must ask the wounded King, “What Ails You?” That one sincere question, to one’s own egoic self is the beginning of going within and only then is TRUE HEALING set in motion.
Words barely touch the TRUE value of the expression “Know Thy Self” but, as an Essene Christian, the parable of the ‘The Prodigal Son’ penetrates deeper into the reason why we enter into this three dimensional – earthy realm in the first place. It is to get our experiences and wisely know, ‘Who and What we are, Beyond name and form’ and move forward with the Evolutionary Impulse within Beingness.
Again, I express gratitude to you and your family for sharing your experience Denis.

Hi Deb
I trust this finds you and yours well.
I just want to add another reply to to-days question since it is very relative to all Christianity………. then reply to your request
The cross, as a symbol, was used long before 2000 years ago. IOW before current Christianity converted it into a torcher symbol / of Crucifixion.

Its origin, as an equal length and balanced symbol, and only the Orthodox church still uses, represented the balancing of the four primary elements: Earth, Fire, Water and Ether. Most consider this symbol to be a “4-pointed cross” but, in fact, the center is the 5th point. That point represents the source of the outer four elements. IOW Absolute Being-ness
Now to your request.
This is a web site which contains a great amount of information which will surely answer general questions. It will take a while to get to know all the links within it. All info there is free so no worries there. And hopefully you will find the free discussion podcasts done by Daniel Joseph made too. You can download those and listen while travelling etc.
Just do a web search for “Researcher of Truth, Daskalos”
Also should you wish to look further into the subject of the Essenes and look into the practices, exercises etc. There are also reasonably prices downloadable books there too.
Search “Stoa Series, Daskalos”
And finally there is a documentary in the finally stages of completion, produced by an award winning European film directory who is also a Researcher of Truth. It should be out next year and will be very very interesting.
Greetings Back Denis
Yes to “awaken” and I am sure you have the works of James Hillman on your reference shelf. Hillman was a true, brave and honest “awakener” reminding us “Words have meaning” and the meaning of “meaning” were such points as “even the brain has blood in it!”

I would like to close off by paying respect to the founder of the web service , Brother David, by quoting him form his “Deeper then Words”. In it he points to something …(which actually originated with the Egyptian culture and the Greek adopted it as their own…..and by the bye…. reflects your Yoga stance photo too.) and sums up, very nicely, what we as Essenes, and all who venture “within” to know our TRUE Self, apply as day-to-day attitude.

Yes Dr David R. Hawkins did a great work on this in he “Eye of the I” and “Reality, Spirituality and Modern Man.”
But we must be clear here that this “awareness of opposites” principle applies only to “reflected love” not Divine Love. Divine Love a totality within itself, meaning Divine Love is just as much in Hatred, anger, violence etc as it is in all that is “good”
