Gratefulness
I am grateful for our beautiful website and bow to its service in the world, and to all those who will resonate with its purpose. Go free!
This is one of the most moving, poetic, profound pieces of inspiration. I feel Marika so fully through your story. Robin – you teach us all how to grieve by holding close, not pushing away…by integrating not isolating. Love takes many forms, even after death – both tangible and intangible. Thank you for teaching and reminding us…
From Lesa Zuehlke: Thank you Brother David for your blessed insights and guidance for everyone! You are a gift of light in the world. I can pass this wisdom on to my thirty music students so they can enjoy your gifts also. Love and blessings for a wonderful Christmas season and very happy and blessed New Year! Love, Lesa
Thank you for this very beautiful and moving reflection on the power of gratitude in your life Michelle. You have given yourself, us, and the world a great gift.
This is the most meaningful collection of reasons for us to do our work every day. I am reminded so deeply by these words about why this work matters so much. Thank you to everyone for allowing us to be of service to you. And thank you for serving us with your words and support, in turn…
This is just SO moving and such a gift for all of us.
We are so glad to have your important voice in our midst Elizabeth. Thank you for narrating a part of life which rarely gets lifted into words for others to share in the understanding. You grace us with your words and big spirit.
This is such a supremely valuable resource for our community and our world – understanding grateful living in the ways that are presented here. We can learn about gratefulness in many ways – through the values, actions, and commitments of a family’s love is an extraordinary way.
This is so deeply moving and meaningful. I cannot imagine a much more powerful testament to the power of hope and gratefulness than this story. Thank you for sharing a life that sheds perspective on mine.
Thank you so much for this reflection Cintia – you are right that as we get older, we hopefully grow to care less about what other people think about us, and this is such a huge source of liberation and freedom for all of us – no matter what age we are when we arrive at this freedom! With many blessings – Kristi
Carol – what a beautiful state of being you have described for us for which to look forward with joy. Thank you for also reminding us what we can appreciate at any stage of life, if we can allow ourselves. Meaningful living…it sounds very wonderful on you. Thanks for sharing.
WHAT A GIFT you have offered us here! Indeed, having the opportunity to be alive and notice the opportunities within that is what Brother David would say grateful living is all about! You have said it beautifully and perfectly. Thank you so much for your wisdom and for your glorious aging and BEing…Keep going! Gratefully – K
Hallelujah indeed! Wonderful liberation of growing older and relishing the opportunity. Thank you Linda. I am so glad that you are not just alive but vital, and a part of our community! Blessings to you – K
Hello Vintage Friend! Indeed, isn’t it wonderful to know as we age that there can be a space between a feeling and indulging it, between a thought and thinking it is true, between an impulse and action? This to me, like you, is freedom. Thank you for sharing, and for the birthday wishes. <3
Thanks Kevin. I remember being a teenager and thinking that 50 seemed unimaginably old, and 60 was really old! It seemed an eternity till I would ever be there…and now here I am, and I feel so much younger than I imagined I would feel back then. And indeed, thank goodness for all the young people I know who are in their 70’s and 80’s. I pray to get to join their ranks!
Thank you so much for writing this beautiful reflection on your own mid-life experience of aging. Indeed comparison is such a source of suffering – even, or especially, to our own, “old” selves. Bless you for naming that gently being with our losses can bring us to greater joy. Here is to joy in it all…
What a total inspiration you are! How we embrace the bumps in the road, the bumps on our bodies, and the bumps in our minds is such a great teaching that you are embracing with aplomb! And I am so grateful that they are all “harmless” teachers. Thank you for this beautiful, personal sharing…
Thank you so much Mary. This is such an inspiring and beautiful reminder to all of us. I am so grateful for your life and the learning you share…
