Gratefulness
I keep it simple: grateful for all sentient beings and for those who show love.
Fortunately, my breath remembers me.
There is no eye in I. Be less, see more, love always, be at peace.
That with a little awareness we can go back. Be open, let go. Seriousness does not come into play and is less than it is made out to be.
Peace supported by awareness and compassion.
Outrage, even pain and sadness, will lessen. We must all love because it is basic and mindfulness of that will always serve us well. It will be fed by our gratefulness.
I travel with no real name that is lasting. My travels are more inward than outward, yet others move with me for long periods as they travel, too, or their own inward and outward movements. And like in a caravan we move as one. That is why compassion is so very important.

Wholeheartedness calls to mind different thoughts at different times. Right now I think about having been retired for more than two years and preparing along with my wife to move some 50 miles to a smaller apartment closer to our children and grandchildren. Such concerns take one away from everyday life, inhibits grateful thoughts as much as I know rationally that it should not. I need to return to the moment, perhaps med...

Great story about the chef. Thanks. I find it heartening to see the positive effects of just smiling at people in the busiest of places. Even babies will smile back…..perhaps not so surprising.
Try “Eternal. Echoes” by the late John O’Donohue. He addresses the longing about which you, (I think) are referring.
