Gratefulness
I don’t. Or rather I’d rather not have an egoistic wish to have my name remembered. I suppose that is entirely up to others as Kevin said. Back to my cup of tea….
Truth bends for no ego.
By forming the words THANK YOU in my thoughts and feeling genuine appreciation for the blessings in my life even if there is a part of me that is screaming YOU NEED MORE & BETTER.
Welcome to what Buddhists call The Dharma Ending Age. We still have another ten thousand years or so before it all goes to hell for the most part. REJOICE!
The dark as in time of day where the sun isn’t visible? Or the dark as in the area of life where the most suffering lurks?
Either way, the dark allows me to see my inner light. Well maybe I’m not an entirely luminous and radiant being just yet but one day!
“I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.” ~ Hafiz of Shiraz
By crushing qigong training. That’s the only extra beauty this day needs added to life by me. Outside of daily spiritual practice of course. Life would be horribly ugly without daily spiritual work.
That even though we may hail from different planets, we still come from the same Source. So I appreciate that my understanding is deepened by seeing past our differences and embracing the belief that we are all one.
I have learned that cherishing solitude is something I am actually too fond of.
While solitude is noble and worthy, I don’t need it. I just don’t need it. I do need people with the same values and lifestyle surrounding me however or solitude is much desired, lol.
Usually I find it when I’m not hungrily scavenging for it like a miserly spirit in anguish. Looking for joy often creates chains that prevent me from finding it. So I’d say true joy finds me when I manage to let go of clinging to the idea of securing some pleasurable state.
DAMMIT ALL I MISINTERPETED THE QUESTION I’M SO SORRY LOL!
Upon reading it a second time I view it differently, I missed the simple things.
I find joy in the simple things by being present. Being of one mind in the moment. Allowing it to unfold without trying to take control, no the Grand Architect administers joy that’s not up to me.
Good answer! I feel the same.
Lol my friend sorry that was my response to this question, I was originally trying to reply to you first. I will certainly keep gratitude journaling at least once a week (evidence suggests 1 to 3 times a week may be more beneficial than daily journaling) as part of an exercise on the Greater Good Science Center action site, lots of other nifty exercises here for free, I’m going to savor them: https://ggia.berkeley.edu
By letting go of things that aren’t free as much as I can without forcing it. Choosing to find liberation from materialism through minimalism sounds like an easy start.
AL that is perfect! I cannot add anything to this! So don’t mind if I piggyback on this and say you took the words right out of my mouth!
Give it to get it sister, indeed.
LOL me too Deb. I’m not answering this question but I’m reading as you can see…this question tickled me awkwardly and made me self conscious thinking of answering it. Call me picky.
How nice!
Ya Bleach way to go!
THAT’S what I’m talking about Nicki!
Wonderful mental imagery!
