Gratefulness
Good Morning my friends. Dear Erich, thank you for sharing. I am fairly new to The Lounge, but I can say for certain, that I have found love and support here. A place to share stories, to open my heart, to share my joys, my sorrows, and my fears. No judgment here my friend.
Hope
When clouds gather Fog creeps in We feel lost Looking towards the horizon Searching for a sign
So much noise Too many souls Wandering about ...
So much noise Too many souls Wandering about Lost
Some look to God While others Create their own idols All the while, silently Crying out in desperation
I have no answers I barely know the question I know this We must have hope
It is our lifeline Our one true thing As they try to take our lives We must, at all cost Never give up

Stars
The city steals them away Seek the path less traveled As the embers die You will be in awe
God’s nightlite So many, too few Spend a lifetime Counting blessings
As you gaze Heavenward Climb the tallest peak Reach beyond who you are You may just touch one Forever changed
I’ve been to a town Muddy in spring Too many folk to suit me
All I ask is this Quiet Solitude...
All I ask is this Quiet Solitude Running spring Mountain Stars

Blessings on you dear Manda. I admire your spirit, your joy. I absolutely love your words below. Each day I try my best to appreciate the simple things in my life.
Manda writes………… “It is the most simple things in life that truly are heart smiling – a cup of tea can turn a moment into magic”
Between Pines Needles & Sky
Soft under the boot Like a bed for sleeping beneath the moon A canopy of stars A lonely wolf howls in the nite, looking for love
The critters scurry about Making ready their dens for winter Stores of little munchies Will see them thru
The rain washes the earth clean She is ready for snow Each twig, upon every bough It glistens, reflecting moonbeam’s smiles

I come here to pray, verily to be one with Him I come to find something sacred I come to this place to find some part of this man Something once thought lost I know now was only hiding
Mother Earth takes care of her own She welcomes my footfall She knows my name I feel the peace within her arms I know each bird, each tree by name
It is this way for me Everything is as it should be

Yesterday I braved the frigid temps to walk along the river. I was the only sole out and about and embraced the quiet beauty of blue sky and oneness with the world around me. I look forward to my next adventure in the woods, thinking of Manda’s “dance in the forest”. I have a few special trails where the pines grow so tall that I feel I am walking in a cathedral, whose spires reach to the Heavens. Be well my friends.
Morning to kind hearts and gentle people. So happy that my workweek begins on Monday and ends on Wednesday. We are expecting a foot or more of the white stuff. It’s grand to lookout at the beauty of winter knowing I have no where to be. French toast and bacon for breakfast and now relaxing in my den, with thoughts of where my travels will take me in 2018.Be well, be safe, be ever mindful of the gifts we have been given.
Good evening my friends. Thank you Aine, Diane, and Manda for your words of kindness and understanding. Early days yet, and the healing is slow. My home feels so empty, with visual memories so thick, I can swat them like flies. Our pups give so much, and ask so little in return. Blessings to one and all
The Old Man’ Dog
She gets it She is in it for the long haul She doesn’t question my motives Listens without judgment
Always, I mean alway...
Always, I mean always there Never sad She lightens my load when I feel down Only growls at dinner time
Keeps strangers at bay This princess is tough My best days are spent Exploring with her
Like no other She is devoted beyond measure We are partners We are of the same spirit We are this and So much more

Hello friends. Another frigid day in the northeast. Each nite I thank God for my warm bed, and a roof over my head. Hot soup for a meal and curling up on the couch. I do miss my best friend, my dog Pepper, who I lost in early November. I’ve only recently found Gratefulness.org, and I must say, after visiting the Gratitude Lounge I feel the love, caring, and warmth. So good for the soul after a long day “out there”. Blessings to one and all.
Wishing everyone Peace, Love, & Friendship
New Day
The Lost Dog sign is still there I say a silent prayer It is after all, a new day It’s the first new day
New days, especially this one Arrive at our doorstep with an unspoken promise Have faith my children For He answers our prayers
...
If I make no resolutions I can break no promises And so, I have no expectations Save only that He is with me

As John Muir once said, “going to the woods is going home”. I feel a special connection with nature and God while hiking the trails near my home. I am often overwhelmed by the beauty and sense of peace. I feel renewed each and every time.
Great News Aine…….. Hang tough Wilbur!!
So true Sylvie. I just returned from a 3 mile hike in the state forest near my home, missing my Pepper each and every step. She is with me in my heart, each and every day
Thank you so much Aine. Thoughts and prayers for Wilbur today.
Hi Patjos, I am honored that u r sharing my poem. You should never ask an author if he/she would like to share, because u might become inundated with a mountain of poems . LOL I actually have written about 150 poems and I’d be happy to share a few
Hi Aine, sending positive thoughts and prayers for Wilbur. So true that animals are a wonderful source of healing
