But I am feeling the need to stave off boredom as I continue to recover from back surgery. I am still, as expected, dealing with a fair amount of recovery pain so that it makes it hard to get into a creative groove doing the things I enjoy doing. Even our dog Gracie, I think, is getting tired of following me all around the house! Kind of funny when I think of it! I hope you are able to sleep at night. So funny that even loyal little Gracie doesn’t quite know what to make of all this activity. She is probably wondering what has gotten in to you! I will light a candle for you Kevin with the prayer that your healing is deep and that your pain lessens soon Mary PS Aine's idea is interesting. You could make a mini documentary of... You could make a mini documentary of your recovery process. With your spiritual bent it could really be quite interesting. I have started to write about some of the humorous aspects of my hospital stay, and even took some photos with my phone in my IV drug haze while there….interesting! Thank you! 0 Reply Aine7 years agoAineMaybe start playing with that macro lens to capture what is in the moment — at the height you can currently reach comfortably. So…instead of forest floor full of flowers, maybe we get to see a really artistic shot of a doorknob or what lies out the join of two window panes. 😀 0 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinYou know, Aine, that’s exactly what I have been doing! I even have a photo of a doorknob! (Well, truth be told I have a little collection of knobs, latches, hooks, etc anyway.) We’ve had a lot of rain this month here in the NE US and I have been snapping away at beads of water on garden plants, foggy jetties on the harbor walk and so forth. (Check the Lounge, I uploaded an image that I took while on the Harbor Walk.) Thanks again, Aine. 0 Reply Gargi7 years agoGargiI laughed reading your post. Also we’re reminded of something you had written long time back…….I do not remember verbatim but something like this……to use our mind or give it enough exercise since it has been given to us along with you had written about the physical body exercise etc. When I am bored I remember your words and try and give it some healthy occupation I enjoy doing with it….Piano for me. 0 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinThanks Gargi. I’ll have to go back and find those words, because I can’t remember what I ate for breakfast with all the meds that they had me on the first two weeks! Thanks for the reminder. I have a number of favorite piano pieces that I enjoy listening to, but will leave the playing to others! My best to you. 0 Reply Ursula7 years agoUrsulaDear Kevin, I wish you to get better and better each day and to be able to do the things you love soon! Maybe Belleruth Naparsteks General Wellness Audio Tape could help you, too? Mary suggested it to me some time ago and I love listening to it! Best & blessings, Ursula 1 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinThanks Ursula. I just pulled up Bellerruth’s compositions on my Google Play Music account and will give it a listen later today. Thanks very much, and my best to you as well. 0 Reply « Previous 1 2 My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
