Gratefulness
“Oh, where is the sea?”, the fishes cried, as they swam its crystal-clearness through.
Pride comes first to mind
To care for another I must leave my own ego and open myself to experiencing another’s reality. For the moment, my self-centered monkey chatter is silenced. I gain observation skills, my practice of empathy moves a slight bit closer to the universal compassion I hold as my intention. I am reminded once again that I am part of a greater whole.
Today it’s the wonderful. photograph of the day….. Which can be seen as a fragile sprout whose shadow foretells the size and strength of its future… Or, as a grown palm tree seen from the air…a survivor in that sea of sand
Gratitude is about the present moment. The past is gone.
Every day I receive from this site your wisdom, dear strangers.
Most appreciated are notes to someone who continues to live with grief or suffering. At the problem’s inception much support is given, but it’s easy to forget the courage it takes to live day after day with physical or psychic pain. Today, may I remember those who have the courage to go on and send a note applauding their strength.
Use breathing exercises to maximize acceptance, reduce worry and physical pain
Because of a wonderful conversation with a neighbor late yesterday, I awoke full of love for others…..warts and all. We are all exactly where we are supposed to be, doing what we’re supposed to do, within the plan we already agreed upon within The One, of which we are all a part. No fear. My job today is to stay in awareness.
The human touch can lessen suffering. With permission, take the hand of the sufferer and listen with an open heart and the intention to reduce fear and the feeling of separation all painful situations bring.

The day is young….I may come up with a wrong I can’t immediately set right as the day progresses. There are many wrongs in the world, but besides envisioning what they would look like if they were righted, I have little control from here. Most things are none of my business and I trust a higher wisdom to sort them out. I AM responsible for the things I CAN change. My prayers are always to be given the wisdom to know what is my work and what Source is handling fine without me. ...
I must remember I have a mortal mind and can see only a tiny part of the whole picture. I’ve learned, too, that just because I can see “what should be done” does not guarantee that is the correct next step. Life is extremely complicated in the manifestations of its simplicity. Coffee necessary at the moment. I’ll start there. Thank you all for being out there, a valued part of my connection. I am grateful.
In rereading this I ask myself…..ARE there many wrongs in the world, or is that perception only mine?
What I need today is knowledge that I am good enough to return to Spirit or……….should I live through the continuing earthquakes (3 last night) ……… that I have enough bravery to still function and be of use. I’ve discovered that there’s nothing quite like a string of aftershocks to teach one to live in the present moment! Please pray for Mexico. We’re in trouble here.
If I “normally exclude” someone it is for good reason. I have been overly inclusive at times in my life, creating dangerous situations.
I find growth for all is achieved when I freely share the gifts of higher consciousness I have worked for with those who want what I have and seek my experience, strength and hope………. and I gratefully seek and accept new lessons from those of higher consciousness who have already passed before me on the journey.
This does not...
This does not stop me from freely sharing goods and opportunity with all. All paths are connected, but each is unique.
A good reminder that grace can never be manufactured. It is a gift. God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, and The wisdom to know the difference
Yes!
May you, and all those close to you who are struggling be blessed by the infinite s source of power.
Aine, thank you for bringing up the power of pen to paper. It connotes an intimacy no electronic communication can match and can be read over and over.
Thank you for bringing up motivation. The examination of WHY I am excluding someone can bring me a gift of self-knowledge.
I love this….the feelings and changes caused by something I can’t see. That’s magical.
Movement in general is magical……infinitely creative….
