Gratefulness
Thinking of a task or a mission reminds me my past. I grow up believing that to do is important, also as an answer to a call. Now I agree with Kevin, life is a gift, or maybe it is even a mission, but meaning that I am answering to Love, and that my life is like a river flowing, gently cherishing the shores, trusting the mysterious path ahead.
I am taking a breathe and savouring just 5 minutes of silence, after my busy morning, dealing with 3 inspections in places where people make foods for children. I am am now in my car, and outside a storm is ending. I am in a parking, waiting the sun, slowly coming out from a cloud. I am going to my office. Wonderful silence! Sometimes my car is like a little home. My energies are now in my breathe. Ready to start again. Thank you to you all here!
Being grateful in some painful and challenging times helps me to nurture a sense of inner peace, and to spread this peace around me. Maybe this is the true meaning of “happiness” for me.
I am eating a cherry picked from my little tree. It is the first season in which it is fruitful.
Dear KC, your words remind me a famous prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi: “my Lord make me an instrument of Your Peace”…thank you.
Francine, I bow in front of the gentleness of this prayer.
keep on Kevin, your aspiration is wonderful!
Gina, be kind with yourself, we are not always the same. Maybe inside we are challenging with something that we are not aware about, or maybe we are tired, or maybe our body is not in its best form. It is a normal thing Gina. Oh think to the Olympus….those men and women almost gods, with fear, anger, envy, jealousy… they were our images, and we are not God, we are not perfect, oh dear, but there is forgiveness, love, tomorrow it will bee another day! (Go with the wind Gina!). Yet, t...

(Go with the wind Gina!). Yet, these “almost gods” have told us wonderful stories …dear Gina, don’t worry, this is what I truly think. I am writing when outside there are maybe 33 celsius, and yesterday there were 31 at 8 pm, wow such a summer ….;-). when it is so warm, I feel more tired, and when I come home after my work, GIna, it is so hard to start my home tasks, starting with cooking!
Antoinette I really appreciate you. I don’t know if I would have the same reaction, in a situation like yours. If you had a different reaction , I would not blame you, as Kevin says, because I believe it is a normal answer, at least as a quick consequence of that action. But Your vulnerability is a true model, and a message of peace in daily life. Thank you for this honest sharing. I hope you can feel comforted here.
I always appreciate you Kevin, for your positive view of life. Before your surgery operation you have always been inspiring for me, because you have never stressed your pain, instead you have always found reason to smile and to turn your thought elsewhere. Always glad to know that all is well with you.
Oh Pilgrim, but you HAVE helped so many people, and me among them! You can , it is not too late, you are not too old and you are brave, and I say this as I could have you in front of me. First of all because, if you are not young, you are still on the path, and this is not usual when someone is old, or a bit old. Pilgrim, I would like to encourage you because now you should answer to second part of this question. Not here, if you don’ t want, by inside you, you to you...

If I may add my personal experience, dear Palm, some years ago I had a similar problem with a friend. I felt a gap between me and people who had different political views…. and I did not seek for a good interaction with them. Sometimes, when I remember those times, I feel shame because I could have been a better friend. But one thing was good: I chose that I would have never discuss about political matters. Some years later I started speaking of daily life with this woman, and when I find myself in a hard and challenging moment due to my mother-in-law’s health, that friend asked me to go and take a coffee by her. It was a wonderful day, we had a nice chat and I felt supported by her . Now, we are good friends again.
I hope that this school will open soon, dear Palm. Your daughter deserves that.
Oh dear Ursula, I am so sorry! Try to rest, if you are on your pilgrimage “stay” in the calmness of S. Francis and don’t walk, at least for one day! Take care, and remember I am near you, if you need something.
I will wait dear Ose, you are such an inspirtaion in this community. I will miss you, but I hope you will be here soon. My best wishes for your writing.
I am actually interested in the matter that you are going to publish. Spiritual growth is such an important path also for me, dear Christina.
Dear Kevin! So glad to see your icon and to know that all is well! So, we look forward to some of your new photos!
I am grateful for your answer and for the possibility to read all these beautiful insights. Your answer and Mary Ann Radmacher’s quote help me to realize that human beings are so similar, my problems and those of people around me are often the same. So, dear KC, you are offering me an encouraging prompt for tomorrow, knowing that you, like me, consider a brave deed taking the pressure off of yourself and that this kind of whispered courage can move the world.
Dear Kevin, all the best for your surgery and recovery. May your days be enlightened by all your dearest, and your path towards healing be not too hard.
Fabulous day, enjoy it!
