healing and forgiving!
Gazing at the vastness of the stars in the universe and then seeing the warm loving softness in others and feeling that in myself and knowing that is the magic of meaning.
How can I contribute to more justice in the world? Being my best self in dignity and integrity to whomever I encounter. in every day to the best of my ability.
Gratefully in trauma therapy now and healing from a violent past. Life is getting so much better now.
Every kindness is a gift that I receive with gratefulness. A smile returned, feeling mutual love in a hug, shared supportive words, listening to their perspective or opinion in friendship. Kindness for myself and for others is the essence of belonging to the human race.
I know for sure that what I think I know is, well ….not much
A heart felt genuine apology from a friend to my son and to me ….So long in coming, and so the Joy can feel like pain because of the tears of release in it’s fullness of relief. I’m rejoicing that people can change in their approaches and attitudes.
My good friends have been meaningful because of their kindness, easy connection, and same values and interests. The friends that weren’t or aren’t usually good friends because of not liking them as much. They have been the most meaningful, my teachers, because I’ve learned the most with them and from them.
Practicing empathy. It is innate in every human being. It can be lost in our parents taught beliefs and strategies to make us into what they wanted us to be and how they wanted us to be.
Understanding that practicing empathy for other people going through their suffering and struggles guides me to paying attention to their feelings and needs. A task of great effort sometimes. Remembering in the moment is worth the effort because it makes for emotional connection, and draws me into kin...

I stand for living my core values in such a way that my outer-self is a reflection and aligns with my inner-self. Of course, a work in progress.
Happiness or joy in life is an emotion that all is going well and can feel satisfied that I’m doing the best I can for others and myself. It is a fleeting feeling that may or may not last long depending on challenges and situations that come. How do I know? Am learning to know and appreciate the happiness when it is there. Noticing and quietly appreciating the joy in others brings me into awareness of how much happiness and contentment there is available to experience.
I value my good physical health and treasure all the parts of my body involved in making it good.
The earth supports me when I’m paying attention in walking meditation. Taking in the beauty of the blue sky, the sun, a tree, and my breath is experiencing the support of the energy of life. life supports me. With my friend and sons we experience mutual support. Belonging with others is supportive. Gratitude for life supports all.
Being in the midst of difficult situations such as great loss can seem overwhelming. Bringing awareness to the emotional experience, allowing myself to feel that, and acknowledging how difficult life can be seems to increase my resilience for when the next challenge comes.
Life is sacred …loving support is sacred.
I just went through an episode of starting a new anti-depressant medication and didn’t notice how I was spiraling down to suicidal intention with a with a plan in place until my therapist worked with me with EMDR. After 3 days off the med. am feeling like living again. Life is sacred and am grateful for the good feelings of being alive.
