Gratefulness
Ah, grateful for it all!
Thanks, Aine. Wonderful to hear that you are hearing from us again. Thanks for letting us know. Gratefully, S
Aine, we’re so sorry about the difficulty with notifications reaching you. We’re still exploring to see what the problem is. Will keep in touch via email to let you know what we discover. Thank you for your patience!
You’re so very welcome, dear Ose. It warms our hearts to hear when our intent to inspire and uplift with words and images on the site has a positive impact. We are grateful to the many generous photographers who share their images; the poets, writers and mystics whose words uplift us all, and you, our community for accompanying us in our shared values. It takes a village 🙂
Thank you so much for all of this, Ed. Inspired by your response to Pierre’s video we have gone ahead and posted it on demo.gratefulness.org as its own page. You can find it at this link: https://demo.gratefulness.org/resource/simplicity-blessing/
Wonderful – thank you so much for this transcript, Ed. A deep bow to you!
Thank you for your comment, Ed. I believe this is the link you are referring to – Pierre Pradervand on Simplicity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZM0n-ZHE-I
Wonderful news, dear Cintia!
Thanks, dear Grateful Sea, your note is warmly appreciated! An arcing rainbow is exactly the image we too have paired with the quote. Beauty all around.
Dear Cintia, We are so sorry to hear that you are awaiting possibly difficult news. Perhaps you have learned more since you wrote this message. I join with others in this caring community to send you love. Please know you are held in the hearts of many.
We too love the quote “The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice,” and have it in our Word for the Day library. Did you know that the quote is a paraphrase of a quote by Theodore Parker? Interesting. Here’s some information about Theodore Parker. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodore_Parker Thanks for reminding us of the quote. It is powerful and hopeful indeed!
Thanks for asking, Suzana. You might try #Gratefulness or if related to this practice #GratefulDay and #GratefulYear. Thanks!
Thanks, Grateful Sea. I’m with you on the libraries. What a gift they are!
Thank you for pointing us toward Nikki Giovanni’s poems – wonderful! And, in praise of libraries, perhaps you might enjoy: Naomi Shihab Nye’s “Because of Libraries We Can Say These Things.” posted here on Gratefulness.org: https://demo.gratefulness.org/resource/because-of-libraries-we-can-say-these-things/ – enjoy!
This isn’t exactly an “ode” but we love Naomi Shihab Nye’s “Because of Libraries We Can Say These Things” and have it posted here on Gratefulness.org here: https://demo.gratefulness.org/resource/because-of-libraries-we-can-say-these-things/ – enjoy!
Great tips, Chad, thanks! Love the reminder to put out the trash! Hope you and yours have a heartful Thanksgiving!
Wonderful, thanks for this lovely poem, dear Carol!
Hello Ed,
The introductory text beginning with…”The present state of worldwide anxiety…” refers to a statement made by Robert Muller — who served as Assistant UN Secretary-General for 38 years and then as Chancellor Emeritus of the UN University for Peace in demilitarized Costa Rica — as he described the event. A fuller description of the introduction can be found on this page http://demo.gratefulness.org/resource/united-nations-meditation/. Thank you for ...

What a sweet serendipity that you should come upon this page following your accident, Gargi. May you continue to experience the “earth holding (you) intuitively) and to connect with the clarity and peace that guide you. With kindness and heart, Saoirse
Our warm thanks to you, Ose!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem, Anita. It is moving to consider the safety and friendship provided to you by this generous willow. Trees as friends reminds me of a short video here: http://demo.gratefulness.org/resource/the-silent-friends/ – enjoy!
