Gratefulness
Use time with purpose. I will not fritter my time away or waste it. Time is money. Inve$t wi$ely
My home, my medicine, and my electronics (that keep me connected to my world.)
The wrong I can correct is one I hope we all do. It is to live without judgment, and in honesty and sincerity. Living in integrity grants a person a lot of peace. This will go a long way to prevent wrongs so we don’t have to correct them afterwards.
Last night, dialysis was very tough. It was a very long 4 hours in that chair. When I was well enough to leave, and could stand up and walk to my car to drive home, I was grateful beyond measure. I felt weak, but strong at the same time. That is something to remember… even in our weakest moments, we have strengths. ????
Well, I haven’t met anyone recently… but now I will be looking for that gem. 🙂
I am doing what I can, with my current physical and monetary resources, to be fully present to my family, friends, caregivers, and community. The phrase “more fully” might imply that we are not doing enough… which might be true. Rather than asking for more, I will choose to celebrate what I am doing. Perhaps the thing I can do is to encourage others to participate, thus evening out the weight of efforts. ????????❤️????????
Good health and feeling connected with others in positive, purposeful ways.
Good health. Without it, things seem so pale. My other thought is Christmas… even when I have been in the hospital at Christmas, it still meant so much.
Start with the people in our orbit. Be understanding, patient, and generous. Act out of kindness. Think about the needs of those around you. HELP, CALL, OFFER. ???? ???? ???? Be the person you wish would come to help you.
I ‘play’ with words. I love to joke and be silly. Not only does it bring me joy, but I feel others’ happiness and laughter multiplies my efforts. Laughter is wonderful medicine!
ABSOLUTELY! ???? My challenges and obstacles are what have created my success and my character. I am wiser, more resilient, more willing to take risks, more okay with failing. I am grateful for the lessons that have made me stronger and more able to take on life’s challenges. There are many things I do not want to live through again; but, the experiences taught me invaluable lessons.
Pine… reminds me of Christmas tree shopping and putting up our tree when I was little. Oh, goodness, did I LOVE that Christmas tree. ???? Still do. I don’t do a live tree any more, but I do use pine candles. We are coming into the season of several holidays. I imagine many will have memories of food, leaves, trees, and other special scents associated with the “BER” months. ????

I do this a lot. Almost every time I am around people, I make them smile or laugh. The thing that strikes me here is that people do not do this for me very much. I feel as if I am bringing light and everyone else is sucking it up. I understand that this sounds pessimistic, but as a chronically ill person, it is tough to be in this position. I am grateful for what I have, that is certain… but I am increasingly aware that people in my life are making no effort to help me. Things seem so out of balance,
Music! ????????????????????
I am taking time to breathe and consider how I want to ACT rather than REACT. My ego self is all about survival… and not every situation requires that. Dealing with dialysis… both the health and financial considerations… requires courage and wisdom on my part. I am doing my best. Some days am the winner, some the runner up… but I am never the loser. ????
Prayer ???? Reading spiritual and personal growth literature, ???? Participating in personal growth book study groups, Surrounding myself with positive, like-minded, curious people, Doing things just like this website ????
Loving this… Reminds me of the beginning of the school year when I would meet my kids; Often, meeting their parents was a “gem experience,” too. 🙂
Hi, Kevin. I look forward to reading your messages every day. Thanks for sharing your honesty and caring. ????????????
