Gratefulness
sacred in the sense of revered? I have a high level of respect towards anyone and anything that helps push forward peace in the world/the collective, peace in ourselves (mind, body, spirit connectedness), and love/gratefulness. In the sense of sacred in terms of higher being/energy/God? As I write this sentence I realize it would be the same as what I wrote for revered. In the sense of sacred in terms of higher being/energy/God? As I write this sentence I realize it would be the same as what I wrote for revered. I feel connected when the words and/or actions are promoting us moving towards peace collectively and within ourselves…moving towards happy/grateful/love.
positive energy. tangible “hows” to assist their journey to happy. holding myself to what I “preach”. a bottomless amount of love. letters of recommendation towards their first job.
I honestly assess myself as continuously optimistic. however, I do feel more optimistic after a motivational video, reading a passage in a book/article, hear inspiration on radio/podcast/CD, listen in person to an incredible story of overcoming. the execution of that optimism/what am I producing with that optimism is most key to me.
constantly learning better ways to reach people and move towards happy. this learning and knowledge brings me new personal experiences everyday…and moves me always towards happy.
my dreams while sleep? I don’t remember my dreams. my woke dreams? they are telling me this message of how to become significant, grateful, and happy (and how/why that will mess up/change “the system”) needs to go to every middle schooler and high schooler in the country. if thru them I can reach their grown ups…all the more to the good.
my parents forgiving me for my teenager ness. forgiving myself. relationships require forgiveness because of it being two individuals trying to work together in whatever capacity that relationship is. it’s powerful and healing and freeing.
if I am in a positive, grateful frame of mind, I see opportunities. it could be a person wanting to mentor me/give valuable insight. it could be an opportunity create a partnership for spreading weareworking2gether.org message. it could be an opportunity to help a student that is really in need but trying to play it off as otherwise. I’m saying that my life has to change/or stay grateful/positive first before I see opportunities.
today, build on lessons learned. today, continue to be excited w this journey. today, be thankful for this opportunity of today. today, walk in my purpose. today, show love and possibilities everywhere. yes! to my life!
tenderness denotes actually caring about and acting w care towards everyone and everything in present time. tending to it means I need to make sure i am living in gratefulness and my purpose.
w strangers it is always the magic of a smile, what’s up, how are you, have a good day, good morning, and trying to spread a positive energy. with loved ones it is more conversation that touches me. but also the magic still occurs in moments. that James Baldwin is amazing. that whomever comes up w these daily questions on a daily basis is amazing. that our “legacy” is not one thing but really every life we touch each day.
to continue gathering allies in the push to cut “the achievement gap” and anxiety disorders 50% amongst teenagers by February 2019. to continue gathering allies in spreading grateful living message/science. at this very moment the next right action is to finish a letter of recommendation for a student!!
the sense of hearing…when I hear Eric Thomas speak, or Kamal my friend preach, or a Malcolm speech, or a song that brings positive chemicals into my brain, or the sound of real laughter. sight as I read things that bring focus, clarity, inspiration, thought, learning. I don’t know hahhhh the taste of a really good chili relleno is up there hahhhhh!!!!
it’s another 24 hours to put forth positive energy and gratefulness!!!
living each day in service to others and likewise to myself thru my service to others.
I’m grateful for mentors that taught me about grateful living and the power it gives. I’m grateful that science has been able to back up what we’ve known intuitively regarding the effects of grateful thinking and actions. I’m grateful for adding my voice to the giant chorus of those spreading the message to the world.
I ingest too much sugar. I definitely take my whole body for granted. I am down to like 2 meals a week w meat and that is either a turkey burger or chicken. but sugar…I have an addiction for sure. I’m almost 6’6″ and 215, I work out 5 days a week w weights so aesthetically I get away w it. but I know I have to get serious. I have to do cardio. thank you for this question today.
when grateful, we are open and aware to see the disparities in our country and world. when grateful, we are mindful of struggles our fellow citizens are enduring. when grateful, we are in a state of mind/of being that puts action into systemic change strategies that will benefit the collective. as James Brown put it “get up! get involved! get into it!”
resistance to being a leader on a big scale. I have been putting in motion things for that to cease. I will “embrace the chaos” (as the article so wonderfully stated), stop dipping my toe, and for real let go of this fear.
keeping you in thought and prayer
