To be one with my Father in Heaven. That is a tall order. Haha! Still, why not give it a try, eh? Celibacy helps me a long way towards it. Meditation too. Prayer too. Fight for justice too. And lots of other stuff. It is hard work. Long way to go. But a nice byproduct – Wisdom along the way.
La necesidad de hacer algo por mi país, por mi gente
It is Source Energy. It is pure Love and the driving force is the return to Oneness
Fulfilling my dharma and growing in ethical wisdom so that I can do what is right is my motivating force. I have been sent here on a mission, and I am urgent to do what it takes to accomplish that mission.
Deep in the depths of my being I know I am here to feel and see Gods Love in all the wonderful things in the world and share this with all the people I met.
Knowing others are counting on me is my motivation.
Deep in the depths of my being there is a motivating force to survive, to live. To merely survive can be a sad existence. Then again, the motivation toward life: that I have work to do, tasks to be done, that I simple do not want to exit before the natural end of my story and that I am present to witness the stories of those around me, keeps me going.
Beautiful. Thank you.
It’s God. And one way I define Him is that He’s the power of good that lies within all things and all people. So with God’s help, I try to be the best man I can be…and everything that happens, does so according to His will.
The yearning for connection….or, perhaps more accurately….
The yearning for reconnection.
the spiritual guidance of Jesus. But, I believe the words of Jesus regarding social justice, how we treat ourselves, how we treat others, gratitude, is also found in numerous other texts, traditions, oral histories. they are all part of the collective, part of the universe.
Deep in the depths of your being there is a motivating force, what is it?
The "I Am" or Absolute Being-ness as encapsulated in the Blessed Trinity.
That is my brief reply but others such as Jung called it "Transformative Impulse" and explained it very nicely as my "Link with the infinite"........

The “I Am” or Absolute Being-ness as encapsulated in the Blessed Trinity.
That is my brief reply but others such as Jung called it “Transformative Impulse” and explained it very nicely as my “Link with the infinite”……..
Quote “The decisive question for man is: Is he related to something infinite or not? That is the telling question of his life. Only if we know that the thing which truly matters is the infinite can we avoid fixing our interest upon futilities, and upon all kinds of goals which are not of real importance… The more a man lays stress on false possessions, and the less sensitivity he has for what is essential, the less satisfying is his life. … If we understand and feel that here in this life we already have a link with the infinite, desires and attitudes change. In the final analysis, we count for something only because of the essential we embody, and if we do not embody that, life is wasted….”End Quote

Life fully lived.
The deepest motivating force in my life is to be open to the promptings and call of the Holy Spirit.
Love.
There are plenty of different motivating forces deep down and them playing out, often in conflict, is what makes me human. And they’re all deep. Is there a deepest? I’ll have to think about that. My initial reaction was to pick something positive and spiritual but it has to sing in a pretty crowded choir and harmony often shines but does not always shine through.
I really connect with the ‘humanness’ of your answer. Thank you.
Through the dark years (and there were many) I always had a sense, “There has to be something better than this.” And there was!
