Gratefulness
never giving up. being kind to others. seeing the best in a situation.
We are all connected through our energy. So much negative energy…we have to keep spreading gratefulness n joy. System shifts require us to put in the daily work
the outpouring of passion and kindness from students, teachers, and parents for saving the CARE center/mental health program at our high school. the CARE center is being cut due to budget cuts.
my kids at home! my wife and her craziness! the students at work! I am grateful for the amount of times I SPD (smiles per day)
it would be the qualities of integrity, passion, “stand up to power ness” loving, teacher, and humorous.
I received advice n it was simultaneously direct, loving, cutting, and caring. It both freed me and gave me a mission!
Hard work. Love. Social justice. Empathy/caring, collective power
That I not only intently listen n be present…but, that we 2gether strategize n actually take action to move forward. Love!
our mind is truly powerful as are our habits. when I combine my daily habits of 30 (30 total minutes) to be sturdy…grateful, lite exercise, positive reading/viewing/listening, and a motivational video/song/speech/text with other intentionally accurate and positive mindset habits…I can see roses and affect real change.
every story of overcoming any type of obstacle is inspiring. overcoming obstacles is a daily part of life and definitely makes me treasure the difficult and the sweet parts of life.
by each day being the best I can be as an individual and helping collectively everyone else do the same. we can then join up and create “great fulness” for everyone.
help them to be their best selves…that might be encourage…might be stay out of the way…might be listening…might be strategizing…might be prayer/positive energy. all of it is love.
as a white male in America…I experience a lot of privilege. even when I was homeless for a about a month, I never really had to worry about my basic needs. I am grateful that I have always had someone or someones in my life that cared about and loved me. working 2 make sure we all have our basic needs met is never ending.
the fear of amplifying my message.
I continue to work (on a daily basis) to not take my “routine” for granted. everything in my routine…my wife, my kids, the food I am blessed to eat, water to drink, vocation/profession, friends, et al.
amplify—to make more of, to make bigger, to make stronger, to make more noticed living in gratefulness puts out the right energy…people feel it. I wanna amplify it
the memories of making it through difficult times…the memories of joyful experiences. my memories should only inform my present and only in a positive, forward moving way.
the school system that’s going to cut 23 counselors (including me) in June. by creating curriculum and systems that will help students, we can somehow lessen the negative impact on students.
I’m pretty expansive in my definition of friend. i.e. I spend time each morning preparing myself to be a friend in the moment of need to as many people as possible each day. the moment of need could be listening to a story of humor, of horror, of pain, of joy and then if need be real strategies to work through that story towards a better outcome. time is valuable in any friendship. my close and longtime friends deserve more time and energy that is meaningful.
The actual benefits of course bring us life in many ways!! The metaphors they provide as examples of persistence and collective strength. The example of the Chinese bamboo taking 5 years to break through the soil n then growing up to 90 feet in 6 weeks is an amazing reality we all can learn from.
