My ex husband and touched my life unexpectedly. After 16 months of this divorce we finally are working together. It’s an amazing metamorphosis. I’m truly grateful to the power of forgiveness, blessing and loving kindness.
We can always look for the goodness.
Good to hear Antoinette, and thanks for sharing about the practices that may have helped this favorable outcome: forgiveness, blessing and loving kindness.
Today I talked with the person who is painting in my house. He was so considerate and a joy to work with. He did touch my life today and I am grateful for that.
It is in the people that i meet on my journey throughout the day that touch my life unexpectedly and in so many varied ways.
This morning, when I went out to get my newspaper, I met a neighbour. He was coming home aften beeing out shopping his breakfast. We said hello, I commented on him beeing an early bird, and he gave me a nice smile. An un expected meeting, an unexpected smile. When I m now thinking over this day, I discover than the smile has followed me through this day and made a good differense. A smile that is part of What made this a good day.
Deb, i think you already touch everyone you meet. All interactions are sacred and become memorably beneficial when the participants practice humility, harmony and openmindedness.
the outpouring of passion and kindness from students, teachers, and parents for saving the CARE center/mental health program at our high school. the CARE center is being cut due to budget cuts.
So many friends that share their goodness with me…I am grateful…
Like Kevin says, too many to mention.
I think I would like to be that person who unexpectedly touches the life of each person I come in contact or even think of.

What a considerate thing to say, Amor fati! I thank and bless you.????
Susan. Humility, prayerfulness, desire to truly follow Jesus, general orientation to life is awe inspiring. Blessings.
I am touched unexpectedly by you all here, who co-create this space. There is not a day that goes by that I am not moved to tears or a smile, laughter, or some sense of growing understanding by what is offered at this site — by an image, quote, essay, or comment. Thank you Gratefulness Team and all who share here.
I write in here to honor my old friend Marcia, who cheerfully guided me toward what delights me! It was completely unexpected and unplanned. I saw her this week – I hadn’t seen her in over 15 years, and as part of our fun conversation, she helped me find a music camp/workshop in Scotland that I now plan to attend in August! Amazing.
Every exchange I have with people and with the world is unexpected. It all affects me.
Oh gosh, there are so many people who have touched my life in so many unexpected ways. Almost too many to mention here, from dear souls who have long since left this earth to present people, including children, who have overcome such phenomenal odds and yet find a way to thrive as best they can.
The little K’s…who have made me slow down and breathe. They have shown me the simple things in life that bring great joy like a blade of grass or a bird’s song. Pure innocence..the world through the eyes of a child.
