Gratefulness
My special gift from childhood is a love of water. I am a fish and swimming is a joy! I have been making it a part of my weekly routine. Two times a week I swim after work and it makes me feel free!
The opportunity at this moment is to see the good and have hope. Each moment I have the choice to begin again and find the good. Look at fear in the face and see that it’s not overwhelming! I can do it! Like the quote of the day is leading us to believe! Believing in yourself means everything! Love and hope makes out dreams happen!
My ex husband and touched my life unexpectedly. After 16 months of this divorce we finally are working together. It’s an amazing metamorphosis. I’m truly grateful to the power of forgiveness, blessing and loving kindness. We can always look for the goodness.
I am grateful for this life an all its possibilities and opportunities to love and grow. I’m grateful to commit to be a light of love that will not die. Each day is a blessing to love with gratitude.
I’m going to quote A Course in Miracles which is a beautiful book with amazing teaching. Section 13. What is a Miracle?
A miracle is a correction. It does not create, nor really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It undoes error, but does not attempt to go beyond perception, nor exceed the function of forgiveness. Thus it stays within time’s limits. Yet it paves the way for the return of timelessness and love...
A miracle is a correction. It does not create, nor really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It undoes error, but does not attempt to go beyond perception, nor exceed the function of forgiveness. Thus it stays within time’s limits. Yet it paves the way for the return of timelessness and love’s awakening, for fear must slip away under the gentle remedy it brings.
A miracle contains the gift of grace, for it is given and received as one. And thus it illustrates the law of truth the world does not obey, because it fails entirely to understand its ways. A miracle inverts perception which was upside down before, and thus it ends the strange distortions that were manifest. Now is perception open to the truth. Now is forgiveness seen as justified.
Forgiveness is the home of miracles. The eyes of Christ deliver them to all they look upon in mercy and in love. Perception stands corrected in His sight, and what was meant to curse has come to bless. Each lily of forgiveness offers all the world the silent miracle of love. And each is laid before the Word of God, upon the universal altar to Creator and creation in the light of perfect purity and endless joy.
The miracle is taken first on faith, because to ask for it implies the mind has been made ready to conceive of what it cannot see and does not understand. Yet faith will bring its witnesses to show that what it rested on is really there. And thus the miracle will justify your faith in it, and show it rested on a world more real than what you saw before; a world redeemed from what you thought was there.
Miracles fall like drops of healing rain from Heaven on a dry and dusty world, where starved and thirsty creatures come to die. Now they have water. Now the world is green. And everywhere the signs of life spring up, to show that what is born can never die, for what has life has immortality.
I believe that miracles occur constantly. When our awareness shifts and we see with eyes of the divine a miracle occurs. We are so mesmerized by the way we were trained to “see” that I believe that’s what Jesus meant when he said: “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” Forgiveness is a miracle open to us in each and every moment. Each moment I inhale love and let go of the judging mind I am living a miracle. Blessings to everyone here. May you be happy May you be free from suffering May you be at peace

Everyone has a unique story. I’m inspired and by everyone because we are all intrinsically connected . I especially am inspired by how people overcome adversity. It’s amazing how the universe works. We can’t have only good times or good feelings feelings. We can’t have happinesses without having any suffering. We can’t have only good times or good feelings feelings. We can’t have happinesses without having any suffering. I admire Pema Chodron for ( today’s thought of the quote) because she inspired me to go to the places that scare me. She is a gifted teacher who inspires me to have compassion for myself so that I can go out and serve. I’m grateful for her wisdom.
I can contribute to the great fullness of life by determination to live love and compassion each moment. Spread joyful love for the gift of life.
In order to nurture people and things I treasure I must love myself deeply. We can’t love our neighbor if we don’t love ourselves. Cultivating compassion and loving kindness for myself and others is a really good place to start nurturing.
Fortunately, I have never really had to worry about any basic needs. I am grateful that the universe is always giving me exactly what I need when I need it. I am full of love and gratitude.
Every time your fear is invited up, every time you recognize it and smile at it, your fear will lose some of its strength. THICH NHAT HANH

I really love today’s choice for the thought of the day. Our regrets can and often do turn into fear in that we can become fearful that all our choices may not turn out exactly as expected. When we use our breath to pay close attention to our many types of emotions and feelings they become less of a storyline. Breaking free from our habitual tendency to have a negative view helps the fear, anxiety, regrets or whatever emotion shows up. Mindfulness of the here and now helps to embrace an attitude of gratitude. Inhale and say: may I be well (smile 🙂 exhale may I be happy. 😉
I can be a better friend by listening with compassion and loving kindness.
Blessings to you Jessie. You sound like you have wisdom and compassion. Your grandma is lucky to have you and I’m sure your loving kindness makes her feel loved.
Palm, We’re the same age and I really see what you mean! Thank you !
Dear Ed, Thank you for the recommendation of the book you wrote about. “The Gentle Art of Blessings”, perfect timing! 🙂 I rejoice in the gift of blessings.
Kevin, I love that saying! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Aine, I agree that hindsight is 20/20! We have so much to be grateful for with age hopefully comes wisdom.
Deb, I agree with not judging ourselves and others. We can have very harsh critical minds. It’s funny how we start out like Superman in our lives thinking we can dodge any and all regrets! Life has a way of unfolding in its own way. I believe compassion and loving kindness helps to soften our attitude.
