Anonymous7 years agoAnonymousSlow down and take inventory of the events of the day 0 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteI can focus on the good things and be grateful for the changes happening. I can remember that this too will pass when sad feelings arrive and allow them to be there without attaching a storyline to them. 0 Reply Trevor7 years agoTrevorComplain less. Idk if not complaining at all is possible for me. Sigh. I guess I’m in the right place? 2 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteGreat idea! Always look for the good! 0 Reply Aine7 years agoAineOpen myself up to peace, even in the midst of challenges, as well as looking back at all the ways I have been carried through before, despite my best squirmings to “make” something happen, and trusting that I will be again. 3 Reply Hot Sauce7 years agoHot SauceWhen I am working on schoolwork, I can do it with a deep gratitude for the knowledge and wisdom I am gaining through my study, hallowing my educational life and viewing it as a sacred act. Furthermore, I can pay greater attention to opportunities to listen and learn, so that I can gain greater wisdom, especially from those with whom I disagree. 2 Reply SeeAreLow7 years agoSeeAreLowBy focusing all of my energies on the good in my life. 4 Reply Julie7 years agoJulieToday I can focus on the mystery and magic of life rather than the tragic. I can count my blessing moment to moment. I can recognize the divinity in all I see. I can remind myself of the oneness I know is there that I often forget. I can bring myself back to present moment awareness, over and over again. 3 Reply kathleen7 years agokathleenI will go to work, have an acupuncture treatment, go to a book study meditation time and come home and kind of flop into bed. Maybe on my way home I can set an intention to recall the day with its ups and downs and really know that this day will not come again. It is gone 3 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchulteWhat can I do differently so that I end this day with greater reverence for it? By living every moment of this day with MORE Reverence for Life then I have every done before. ( the key here, of course, is that the “difference done ” will be in the “MORE then ever done before” ) Post note: Another “of course” here. “Life” is another word for God and “Reverence” is another word for Gratitude. 5 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinBy intentionally slowing down in the late afternoon and watching the longer shadows as the sun slowly sets. That’s a special time of day and I sometimes don’t even notice it. As a retiree, I just need to pay attention, grab the time and go plant myself in a good spot to watch and listen. – Kevin 6 Reply Patjos7 years agoPatjosLess is often more. Today I hope to do very little differently, I don’t always need to be doing more, becoming better, attaining. I’d like to say that hoping to ‘Let go and let God’ more, which would be nice and peaceful, but I won’t push it. If asked this question on another day when I was less tired and ‘feeling’ more full of Grace, I wonder if I’d maybe answer a little differently? 7 Reply Malag7 years agoMalagI agree. I often try to do more when doing less may be right. Also (picking up on Ed’s point) patience is what I need more of and, results in slowing down and probably doing fewer things. 0 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchulteYes indeed! “Less IS more” when practicing the art of Patience. Patience…. means to unfold in our personal ego-self what Is call “Super Consciousness” –which is – entering in the Fifth Heaven. And then? What is more? This also means being able to expand yourself, to be TRULY “Self-conscious”, and have a fuller ability to concentrate in order to Truly see and know. Not by learning now, but by At-one-ment with what you are, THERE. DASKALOS 2 Reply Patjos7 years agoPatjosThanks Ed, not sure I get all of that, but I’m think I see what you’re saying. 🙂 1 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchultePatjos….I took the “Word for the Day”, “Do not pray for gourds and pumpkins from God, when you should be asking for pure love and pure knowledge to dawn within every heart.” SRI RAMAKRISHNA PARAMAHAMSA And applied it to DASKALOS’ ….put less effort and attention into egoism’s “small mindedness” and more into your TRUE Self which is “pure love and pure knowledge” IOW, a god in your own right and MORE then what one can ever image MORE to be! Be More Well Be More Present 0 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinYou make a good point, Patjos. I think that I would likely answer today’s question quite differently on other days too. 5 Reply Aine7 years agoAineAmen! 1 Reply Always Learning7 years agoAlways LearningUse time with purpose. I will not fritter my time away or waste it. Time is money. Inve$t wi$ely 2 Reply Trevor7 years agoTrevorTime is illusory. Money even more so. And yet this world beckons you to think they are real and substantial. So from a worldly standpoint, indeed, ⌚ is ???? 2 Reply Always Learning7 years agoAlways LearningI have spent the last 18 months waiting for a transplant. I wish time felt a little more illusory somedays. ????☺️ 0 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
