I have learned a great deal from him, especially in relating professionally, and we have developed a good, respectful and gentle relationship. 0 Reply Doreen Nixon7 years agoDoreen NixonAll my ancestors have gone before me and I am grateful. 1 Reply Always Learning7 years agoAlways Learning???? I taught elementary school for 40 years. It would be impossible for me to name a specific individual as I consider many teachers and administrators as my mentors… both older and younger than me. That is something wonderful about being a teacher. It is very much a collaborative effort. I will add that I worked with teachers, who were taken away by health issues, that I felt really highlighted my learning and teaching. I am blessed more than anyone I know… at least I feel like I am. ?????... ???? I taught elementary school for 40 years. I still think of him often, with a deep gratitude. 4 Reply Hot Sauce7 years agoHot SauceIn ministry, so many have gone before me for whom I am grateful! Yeshua of Nazareth, Paul, Yakov, the Johannine community, the Pauline community, the Matthean community, Valentinus, Basilides, Thomas Aquinas, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, Mary Baker Eddy, Marcus Borg, Ben Konecny, Nate Miller, and so many others have inspired me with wisdom greater than that of Solomon and are models to me of what it means to be a saint and to live like Christ. 1 Reply John Turner7 years agoJohn TurnerThese are people who didn’t “go before me,” but gave me the necessary skills to be a writer: *My mother *Miss Mullins, my elementary teacher *Miss Porter, my college creative writing teacher 3 Reply Lela DaVia7 years agoLela DaViamy friend and colleague Louise who died a few years ago. While there are no words to express my gratitude to all of those who come before me (my teachers etc.), it is my heartfelt desire to polish the heart-mind (Kokoro) until there is nothing left… no reflection, no ripple across the water…. just a shining needle, and smoke from moxa! I think this is part of its healing power, that it has a lineage, a legacy of people healing others for 5,000 years. As Acupuncture treats the whole person, body, mind, and spirit, it is as if a loving healing force says, “I see your suffering, and I care.” ❤️❤️❤️ 2 Reply kathleen7 years agokathleenI"m mostly grateful for present people in teaching who inspire and amaze me. And within my lifetime, Quakers who, in one way or another, helped to shape the person I am today were Jim Toothaker, David Douglas, Ruth Martucci and Ruth Howland. These Friends, who lived and died within my lifetime, have inspired me greatly. So many, countless good souls who were enthusiastic about the fundamental possibilities of cure with the method of homeopathy and the homeopathic remedies. Starting with Samuel Hahnemann himself more than 200 years ago, but as well countless colleagues after him who developed this method further. Remedies were prepared by devoted pharmacists and colleagues who proved unknown substances concerning their spectrum of cure. And all the patients worldwide who decided to be treated with this method and through this, ” … so that our indwelling, reason-gifted mind can freely employ this living, healthy instrument for the higher purpose of our existence.” (Aphorism No. 9, Organon) Health of this quality is aimed by all of these participants of this encounter with homeopathy. I am deeply grateful for all of them who ever have decided for this freedom and cure in unconditional devotion. But equally deeply grateful I am for all the countless therapists who aimed to do their best with other methods they passionately learned and appreciated from their heart since centuries, for the well being of their patients. Where the heart rules and science, knowledge and capability are developed according to this inner guidance. In fact, I feel we are interconnected and interdependent through time and space without limitation at all. I have used it since I was a teen, and often the remedy needed will just sort of present itself to me for me or a loved one, as if it is speaking. 3 Reply Ose7 years agoOseYes, dear Aine, it is fascinating and they speak, as everything speaks even without words, when we are open to listen; thank you for diving into this theme so sensitive. This is really touching. The remedy and the person are dearly interconnected and convey information vice versa, and if you are connected with the loved one, you may hear, and sense the vibes of the resonance, the similarity, when it is reflected correctly. 2 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
