I am grateful for the canopy of many trees out my office window and the morning light filtering through I am grateful for the snoring, warm lump or my tuxedo cat, Tucker sleeping on my lap. I am grateful for my tender heart expansion having just read the beautiful article on this site about gratitude and world peace.
An evening meal, heat warming my home and a glass full of clean drinking water
Glowing fire in my chiminea,
Delicious red wool Hudson Bay blanket
Cat
And the greatest of these is:
Cat
The gorgeous bright red New Guinea Impatiens hanging basket on my patio I can see from where I am sitting now, the tablet on my lap and the miracle of modern technology that connects me to the world, the picture of my beloved Mom and Dad I can see from here where I am sitting- they are deceased, but are in my heart all the time! For these things and SO much more I am profoundly grateful each day!!!
The amazing mystery of light particles reflecting off a mirror, the presence of human beings who have evolved through a complex, interdependent process of abiotic and biotic systems and life and death and interdependence with other life; the beauty of trees, the benefits of an education where I can grow in values and wisdom, and the technology that allows us to do things more efficiently all give me a sense of gratitude and wonder.
The wonderful feeling of my sons arms around me giving me a great big bear hug fills me wit gratitude and love.
The glimmer of sunshine breaking through the clouds after the the rain makes me wonder and feeling well rested after an after noon nap makes me feel grateful that I took the time to rest when I needed it.
My home, my medicine, and my electronics (that keep me connected to my world.)
In my little kitchen I can see the tap from which water runs if I open it, a washing machine that does the work for me and a stove where I can turn the gas on, light it and cook. On top of this, I can see Jacarandas in bloom through the window
The coming fall, here in Seattle. Food, Family and Shelter, and the pleasure of interacting with humanoids today!!
From my chair directly in front of me on the heat radiator is a figure of cupped hands holding a votive with a lit candle, reminding me we are all held by the Source of all being. Just beyond that is a window through which I see a fog laden and rain drenched tree reminding me of the creative and eternal Word of the Source. Inside to my right are my beloved books, in my mind wealth and comfort. I am grateful to have these things today, realizing I might not have them tomorrow.
Look up and around where you are. What three things can bring you a sense of gratitude or wonder?
The three things I have "up and around" and IN me is the image on the left side of this post.
1) the symbol of the circle in a sky blue Universe, the symbol of infinite BE-ing-ness.
2) Inside the circle the column of luminous pure white light, the primary source of all BE-ing-ness, the Holy Spirit, in rising up in the 5 pointed star, the primary symbol of man.

3) The 4 golden points of the 5 pointed star is the Golden Logos, Christos, the completing aspect of the Trinity . (Trinity being Father ( the All) the Son and the Holy Spirit) All three are combined in infinite Unity of the circle. (The circle is analogous to the ring given to the prodigal son, by his father, when he returns “Home”)
I carry this symbol in my Psycho-Noetic body, at the centre point of my Solar Plexus, all day, where ever I go.
my family, food/water, shelter for gratitude. wonder = the love I receive. wonder = the higher power/God I receive strength from. wonder = that I got to wake up again and bring light I’ve learned to the world.
Electricity, the comfort and ease of light and heat that i have this morning after I get up in the morning. Being sheltered and protected by the weather is a blessing also. How we can rely on nature- It will get bright soon so many minutes later each morning. The grass will grow by itself and the sun will shine. I will have the opportunity to experience all this now.
Of wonder: I have awoken to feel and see the arrival of a brand new day!; I will walk, then ride in a car, then float in a boat made for six and for fun in just one hour; The machine that I type on is a gift and a miracle.
Of Gratitude: I can sip my tea in peace; I have a home; I have a life.
