Gratefulness
Radical responsibility means taking ownership of life and the consequences of the choices made. Is that difficult? No more blame game!
Allowing life’s experiences to unfold as they may is freedom. Approach life with an open heart and mind.
I am taking a course right now and I wanted to share this poem which I feel cherishes life’s journey.
The clearing
I am clearing a space here, where the trees stand back. I am making a circle so open the moon will fall in love and stroke these grasses with her silver.
I am setting stones in the four directions, stones that have called my name from mountaintops and riverbeds, canyons and mesas. Here I will stand with my hand...
I am setting stones in the four directions, stones that have called my name from mountaintops and riverbeds, canyons and mesas. Here I will stand with my hands empty, mind gaping under the moon.
I know there is another way to live. When I find it, the angels will cry out in rapture, each cell of my body will be a rose, a star.
If something seized my life tonight, if a sudden wind swept through me, changing everything, I would not resist. I am ready for whatever comes.
But I think it will be something small, an animal padding out from the shadows, or a word spoken so softly I hear it inside.
It is dark out here, and cold. The moon is stone. I am alone with my longing. Nothing is happening but the next breath.
A higher road is to actually understand what the word forgiveness means. What is forgiveness? “Forgiveness recognizes what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred. It does not pardon sins and make them real. It sees there was no sin. And in that view are all your sins forgiven. What is sin, except a false idea about God’s Son? Forgiveness merely sees its falsity, and therefore lets it go. What then is free to take its place is now the Will of God....

P.s I hope it’s ok to add one more thought to this, as well as clear up my last post. 🙂 (sorry for the mistakes. I was rushing.)
This is another perfect question for the current climate of what our society is dealing with.! I have to say it is also perfect for what is going on currently in my life. I believe we can all approach this by loookg in the mirror, so to speak. When we become sucked into anger, hate, blame, and basically seeing everyone else as the “other” we are NOT using right thinking. In other words, polarization and bipartisan ideas are not helping us see each One another clearly. This is another perfect question for the current climate of what our society is dealing with.! Carol was talking about Buddhist teachings. Right thinking says we let go and stop labeling all of our emotions as “good” or “bad” rather we allow space between our feelings by not clinging to them. This helps to free up the grasping mind. How I behave due to a feeling is my choice so, yes, I would have behaved differently often, in that I would try practice grace. Right thinking is grace. It’s letting go of the egos grasping mind and allowing grace in.
10 positive things about my ex husband of 20 years sending me a love text meant for his new girlfriend, yesterday. 1. Lol, it’s funny! ( Iwhich wasn’t funny when I first read it obviously! After being shocked I noticed the “Watcher” and made a choice, by the end of the day, to wish him well. This took a lot of, what’s the word? Searching within to drive into a place I’ve been hiding from. 4. I let go! 5.. I want happiness for all beings. 6. The world doesn’t revolve around me and I didn’t need to view the situation as an attack. 7. It’s an opportunity for me to have closure to an open wound starting to heal. 8. It’s mind traing at its best! The perfect moment to step back and feel whatever comes and allow it in. 9. Appreciation for being free of a illusion. 10. We are both moving on. I can forgive and love myself and not look outside myself for love! Wow! What a lesson! This awful thing, or what I at first perceived to be awful, by labeling it so turned out to be another way to say YES to life!
I can be more open to life’s moments by allowing myself to be awake, alert and open to opportunities. I can be mindful of getting out of the way of my small self which is so full of itself that it hinders the richness of life. How do we get out of our own heads?
Right now I’m frustrated with what seems like being stuck in a situation that has no positive outcome. That in itself is a limited belief. Thinking and seeing only uncertainty is a limited thought. Maybe my limited belief that chage and lack of control are bad is something to let go of today? Maybe my limited belief that chage and lack of control are bad is something to let go of today? A good place to start today is for me to really take a huge step back from all of these “problems” and let go. Divorce and the what feels like a landslide because of it doesn’t have to be. I’m just not sure how to do it. How to stop wanting to want everything and everyone to be ok. It’s like hanging on the end of a rope holding on for dear life.
That was absolutely beautiful Ed. ” You are my friend because you are the same as me. ” A Course in Miracles It’s a beautiful opportunity to awaken.
Thanks Kevin! Positive thinking as usual! Hope you are getting stronger everyday!
Thanks Kevin! It wasn’t at all what one would want to have sent to them obviously. In fact, it stayed with me for most of the day and even some today. It’s hard to imagine how much of our lives are part of our marriage. In fact , I feel as though I’m coming apart day by day. It’s hard to explain.
Wow thank you Carol! You brought tears to my eyes. I’m truly touched This is the hardest most alone iv ever felt. Today I found myself standing crying in the doctor office not wanting to be alone. So thank you .
Thanks Deb! It’s been and is a challenging each day. But it’s an adventure and we have to face our challenges. I do break down like today However.
Thanks Anna. It’s been very painful. Being here does help. I appreciate all of your help. In fact I’m not sure what I would do without it!
Ose , Thanks it’s been a hard day and it looks like I lose my house next! This is all teaching me something! I hope it all works out!
Carol, This is so wonderful! I’m touched by your heartfelt post. I feel for you and I can relate at the same time. Thank you.
And a lovely way to add your thoughtfulness Ben. Thank you.
Thank you Ose! You know what helped today? Good old fashioned PLAY! Play was the perfect door to let love and life in! It’s a wonderful feeling to lose “yourself” in the sheer joy of cheerfulness and joyful play!
