Gratefulness
I keep it simple: grateful for all sentient beings and for those who show love.
Smile! Be present.
Everything, with beginner’s mind.
Being here!
I and my wife live in a small apartment of a house owned by our son who lives upstairs and we are within walking distance from our two daughters, son-in-law, and four granddaughters and can walk to most needed services. We are blessed and grateful. Oh, and today as the snow rolls down we do not need to go out. ????
For all: mindfulness, compassion and the realization that peace IS attainable if we see it as individuals and practice it in communion.
Despite the world’s offerings, this moment holds no drama. Whew!
Mindful of, and present to others.
Live solely in this moment, no hindsight, no foresight, just awareness and love for the sentient beings, places and things within that (this) moment.
“Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans.” So I don’t know what I might be waiting for and that’s OK.
Each moment. Really. Thanks for asking.
It would take time, some would be hard-pressed to answer, but when it happened life would be even more fulfilling. A good question, worthy of more sincere pondering. Thanks demo.gratefulness.org!
I would be more able to listen more and be present, and respond more thoughtfully.
The play of light on whatever environment at any given moment on any day in any time of the year!
There are many. Time does not enter into it; it is there sense of presence.
Peace. Oh, it is here now! ????
Home is where the peace is.
That we continue to evolve as compassionate beings. We are born compassionate, yet we can always become more so. Smile at someone today.
I like the Buddhist line from Verses on the Faith Mind: “Don’t seek the truth, just cherish no opinions.” With that out of the way love comes more easily.
You are my choice for kindest person. And there are some Theravadan Buddhist monks not far from here who are definitely very kind.
Well said, and achievable, cynics step aside!
