Ose6 years agoOseI would embody the deep love and devotion towards life, for my fellow human companions on this journey, towards our beloved earth and towards the universal, life giving light, for the sake and blooming of all existence, which I have the undeserved privilege to experience in some of my teachers. To open up to this fully, to embody and to respond to this with all my heart is my deep wish. 1 Reply Adam6 years agoAdam 0 Reply Shawn Thomsen6 years agoShawn ThomsenAs I am grateful for the qualities I do have and skills that are innate to me, if I could embody the qualities of someone I truly admire, that someone would be my mother. I believe this where I began to learn about committing acts your heart. Sometimes my mother may give a little too much and knows she leaves herself open to being taken advantage. Still, she says that God knows and he watches. As all that concern miraculously disappeared. I do my best to live simply and open-hearted like my mother and I am humbled to have been her student my entire life. I am grateful that she has influenced a lot of my belief patterns and have kept naive for a very long time. I love how she has taught me to enjoy the little moments in life and its nothing to sweat over unless you have to but even then, “just be that rock in the water.” Read More1 Reply kathleen6 years agokathleenI would be happy with the passion of my co worker. She works to forge new directions for kids. She forges a trail with new programs. She questions and challenges old ideas. She is a true advocate for children. She is also kind and connects easily with people and kids. 2 Reply KC6 years agoKCG. is a beloved, wise spiritual leader and friend. I would have the courage of Mr Nelson Mandela to speak up about injustices in a calm strong voice. Everyday all around me I see how everybody is silent about injustices at work, in the community in the countries they live in but courage is something greater than oneself. It is when the course that you are up against becomes greater and more important than your own life. 3 Reply Hot Sauce6 years agoHot SauceI would embody the qualities of Yeshua the Messiah. He was progressive in his treatment of women, loyal to his disciples, a wise interpreter of scripture, not afraid to openly express his ideas, kind to those stigmatized or marginalized (including those stigmatized for chosen behaviors), prayerful, faithful enough to perform miracles, aware of his inner divine nature, respectful of other religions, and inquisitive and willing to question the status quo. 3 Reply Marina Falconi6 years agoMarina FalconiI can think of a couple of friends from church. Being calm, even in stressful situations. Having a sense of humor, making others laugh. Being loving, kind. 3 Reply Deb6 years agoDebI am with Kevin and Pilgrim on this: Fred Rogers. I watched him with my children and found myself delighted. He exemplified the Christ in the everyday. 1 Reply Eva Liu6 years agoEva Liumy mother. She is and has always been, unequivocally, herself. She is honest, generous, compassionate and brave. She has such a tough exterior but she’s always been true to who she is. 4 Reply Nancy6 years agoNancy❤️ 0 Reply Michael6 years agoMichaelit would be the qualities of integrity, passion, “stand up to power ness” loving, teacher, and humorous. 2 Reply Kevin6 years agoKevinI have always admired Fred Rogers, of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. Honestly. The man had a way of reaching and drawing in not only children, but adults too who spoke with him. He had a way of slowing down the world and helping people of all ages to see things in a different light. 2 Reply Pilgrim6 years agoPilgrimWhat a great choice, Kevin. He was the keynote speaker at my college graduation, and he was wonderful. Then later, I knew of him through my children. So wise! 1 Reply Kevin6 years agoKevinOh wow….! All I got was George McGovern for my college graduation in 1971! I night have gone even back then if Fred Rogers had been speaking! 0 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
