What parts of my body do I take for granted?
Strange question! Firstly it is not "my body" ...It is a gift that I am in a so-called "body" ( actually three bodies ) but these are maintained by the Archangelic orders which created it using the Idea of Man. They also maintain it as best they can over and above the interference(s) I cause them by taking their "Gift" for granted.
So the quick answer is ...if I do forget and take any specific part of my Bodies for granted .....I take ALL parts...

Actually, I might sounds weird, but I think about me body constantly
I am just that kind of girl
who wants a perfect body. So i start thinking about it day by that
I start seeing the things which are not good or perfekt about my body and that pushed my in a deep feeling of anger and ungratefulness.

Definitely my eyes. I’m going blind now in one of them with a cataract and no health insurance…so I no longer take my eyes and my formerly twenty twenty vision for granted. I’ve stepped up my natural health efforts to help both of my eyes. I am also take my overall decent health for granted. At 46, apart from my vision issue, I’m pretty healthy! Started working out and eating better again a few months ago and it’s getting better all the time.
Since the worsening of my Fibromyalsia, I do not take any part of my body for granted. I have had my legs suddenly go out from under me, and hit my head, intense muscular pain, uncomfortable skin sensations, twitching, dropped things (weakened muscles) etc, etc.
Now I am very mindful of everything I do – how I lift things, and what I eat. (Sugar makes it worse). The above don’t happen all that much as long as I am careful. I only fell once, so I am grateful everyday when I don’t fall.
I, too, would have to say that I don’t think I take my body functioning for granted. That is one of the gifts when you deal or have dealt with long term conditions or diseases — it makes you notice and appreciate when things are working!
I was thinking something the other day and this question reminded me. One of my legs doesn’t function as well as the other. Not in a big way but I notice it. And I get annoyed with it. But then I realise it’s kept me upright for fifty odd years. Keeping me upright all this time – pretty good. Well done, leg.
I think I take my eyes for granted at times, other times my ears, sometimes my nose, and at moments my lungs, liver, kidneys, stomach, circulatory system, nervous system, muscles, brain, heart, Adam’s apple and all the rest. Simply by not marveling at the miracles of their working, and their existence, and appreciating that I can move, see, hear, taste, feel, smell, think, be!

Sometimes I remember to notice and appreciate the wonder of all this existence, and sometimes I forget when I’m lost in worry for the future and regret over the past.
It’s beautiful to be embodied, and to be in reciprocal exchange with the Earth as the larger body of my being, and I hope to touch into this remembrance as often as I can.
I don’t take any part of my body for granted. Having lived with multiple health issues my entire life I am very grateful for what works well and appreciate it all! What does not function as well, I am grateful it is not worse!
I ingest too much sugar. I definitely take my whole body for granted. I am down to like 2 meals a week w meat and that is either a turkey burger or chicken. but sugar…I have an addiction for sure. I’m almost 6’6″ and 215, I work out 5 days a week w weights so aesthetically I get away w it. but I know I have to get serious. I have to do cardio. thank you for this question today.
Thanks for this honest post, I am ingesting too much coffee (with sugar) and taking for granted my teeth and liver (which went through hepititis). Need to find other ways to awaken
This is a variation on the theme: you know what part of my body I AM grateful for & appreciative of? My strong legs. They carry me on my frequent 3-mile walks around my complex. They are strong & good. They are functional; they take me where I want to go. I love my legs!
Fantastic! Keep walking! Good legs will take you far!
Mary
Thanks, Mary!
I take no parts of my body for granted, actually. Some parts of my body either have or have had challenges, but as I write, God willing, all systems are functioning. Maybe not all at 100%, but I’ll take whatever percentage I can get.
Many years ago an old Quaker woman who lived well into her nineties told me, “You get to a certain age and its snip, stitch, patch and go.” These days I can live by those words, body parts and all.

My breath is something I take for granted.
My intention is to inhale the infinite love and truth and exhale joy. Our everlasting truth.
Love this, Antoinette!
