It resonated because I often have trouble accepting a gift without feeling I need to give something back to the same person, whereas the gift could instead be passed on to others and become... It resonated because I often have trouble accepting a gift without feeling I need to give something back to the same person, whereas the gift could instead be passed on to others and become an infinite chain of grace. So, this and, as always, reading Martha Beck settled me into sleep again. Oh, and now the word of the day. Talking about freedom, this quote was liberating in itself. It reminded me of how much I love this author (i have read every book), how profound she often is in her observations, and how freedom brings a responsibility with it to make others free as well. I am totally inspired by this one sentence. I am also inspired sitting in my backyard, surrounded by old, mighty oak trees towering above me. I know I am sitting on top of the roots of several of these trees because their spread is often wide... I love, love, love the quote of the day by Toni Morrison. I am inspired by this site and the daily reminder to be grateful and live in appreciation of oh so much. Thanks. Enjoy your 4th everyone! You are right. Imperfection gives so much to our Life, because it allows forgiveness. 1 Reply Gina7 years agoGinaAnna, I am finding it hard to realize that I am vulnerable like all and that is the truth of imperfection…the hard part in realizing this is I see the challenges that make us all tender, insecure, and frightened and then I see the world is just a place where we get to see this when I choose, which makes me sad, and want to cry but that is much better than never having experienced life fully, so I take it as we all take good with the bad! 1 Reply Anna7 years agoAnnaI understand Gina, there is a paradox in all this. Maybe there is a universal way to respond to this challenge: to stay in the moment, without going far from our center. There is a famous quote of Saint Paul, that – being Christian – I should hold in my heart when this paradox brings me some pain: our strength is in our weakness. Yet, it is easier to say, much more difficult to live. Love dear Gina. 1 Reply Gina7 years agoGinayes ,yes, ” our strength is our weakness”, Thank- you Anna for this inspiring quote….Love to you! , 2 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchulteWhat has inspired me today? same answer here as to the “What is Life” question yesterday EVERYTHING 5 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteToday I’m inspired by freedom and it’s many opportunities and forms. And in my willingness for this lies also my acceptance of myself as I Am I Am meant to be.” Today and everyday, in Praise and Inspiration I focus my mind away from the ego. It is not need for that I make it ready for Him, but only that I do not interfere with His plan to restore me my own awareness of my readiness, which is eternal. I need add nothing to His plan. ” What wonderful freedom! Hallelujah! Happy 4th of July ! I Am grateful. ????????
