Sylvie6 years agoSylvieI’ve also found ,that to start the day with a morning meditation, coming to this site, listening to beautiful music , reading inspiring texts…., brings me in a caring mood first of all towards myself and then also towards everybody and everything I encounter during the day. its like connecting to the core and the rest follows. 6 Reply Palm6 years agoPalmMorning meditation is helping in getting in touch with the peaceful core before I encounter others 6 Reply Ivonne6 years agoIvonneSlowing down so that I can be respectful, understanding, and accepting of their needs instead of viewing them from the point the point of view of how they can satisfy mine. 5 Reply Barbara Morris6 years agoBarbara MorrisStart with the scientific practice of loving everything…”A Tree, A Rock, A Cloud” (Carson McCullers’ short story). 5 Reply grateful sea6 years agograteful seaBarbara, I was able to read the short story on the website for the recent film. Yes. Thank you. 1 Reply Barbara Morris6 years agoBarbara MorrisThey turned it into a film…wow, I’d like to see that. Thank you. 0 Reply grateful sea6 years agograteful seaThe title of the story intrigues me. I will try to find it, thank you. Ah, ‘the scientific practice of loving everything’ is also where I start, using all my senses to pay rapt attention. 1 Reply Michael6 years agoMichaelEmpathy. Seeing the good in everyone n everything. Not rushing through the day n missing opportunities. Beginning my morning w my 30 to be sturdy will set my mind n intentions towards tenderness n toughness. 5 Reply Sheila6 years agoSheilaIf I love and accept myself, “warts and all”, then I think it will allow me to be more tender toward others and know “we are all in this together.” Wishing everyone a good day!???? 2 Reply Doreen Driscoll6 years agoDoreen DriscollDropping all my preconceived notions of others…… 3 Reply Christina6 years agoChristinaI guess the old chestnut: “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.” It’s a challenge, though: my mother’s a tough woman; she’s had to be. To not meet her w a corresponding “hardness” is a challenge. A big character defect w me is judgementalness. To not judge when I work w others in my 12-step fellowships is again a challenge! Happiness today for all who journey here! 10 Reply Cintia6 years agoCintiaPerfect Christina. Thank you! I agree, everyone we meet is fighting some kind of battle.
