We are not seperated from each other and our words and actions and consciousness from which we view the world impacts each other. As we become more mindful in our actions we begin to take more ownership in our part of creation. 2 Reply Ose6 years agoOseYes, I can. If I can manage to ask myself in time: what would love do? and then respond from my heart, love and happiness appear instantaneously. I will be mindfully keeping this inspiration of yours. The sun was shining, Even some birds were singing, the winter light on the river was white, still and beautyfull. I wondered how it could have a good influence on other people life that I took this stroll? People living under war, refugees, I cant see how their lives improves by my walk… But I descided to smile and say hallo to everyone I meet. Some noticed my hallo, some didnt. People walk in their own little «bubble», with earphones on…In the caffee I became aware of a man. He had brought with him some wrapped in flowers, a small gift bag from a jeweller store. He looked quite nervous, looking at his watch all the time, walking to the mens room, coming back just as nervous, obviously waiting for someone. He sat with his Face in my direction, so I could clearly see his reactions. Aften a while, she arrived, nicely looking, and his whole face changed, he looked so Glad all over! They ordered, and she started to look in the gift bag, its all to much… Owww! She became glad too, a Lovely pair of earrings. He says: It should have been a ring! But they mean the same thing: would you marry me? She leans across the table and kisses him! I guess that meant yes, and from his expression, I could SEE he took her kiss for a yes, too! He looked so enourmous happy! They were so sweet! When I left the cafe they were still eating. I took their happiness with me. On my way home, I visited a friend of mine, an olderly lady, 93 years old. I use to visit her on Sundays. She has started to forget things. We use to sing together, cause she knows lot of songs by heart. Im very fond of her. I told her about the proposal I had just watched, and I told her several times. And Each time she smiled and laught with joy to Hear of their love.So What I learned from todays question was that indeed, other peoples action do have an impact on my day:)And by sharing this with you, their love will flow out in the world, and Maybe this story will make even more people smile and feel something good. And in that way, What I do right now can have a small influence on some unknown persons life.So pass It on if you like, there might be a Butterfly waving its Wings in your direction, right now….. In the Western world, we tend to think of ourselves as separate individuals apart from everyone and everything else, but really, we are just part of a dynamic, interdependent process of change and shifting back and forth between yin and yang. When I act, I can remember this and remember that my actions affect the well-being of all living beings. 2 Reply Elizabeth M Jones6 years agoElizabeth M JonesYes, I can do that. I am often aware of the violence in the tone of my voice and the great impact it can have on others. Evermore I want to become lighter and more invisible. Lighter on the earth and on others. 3 Reply Amor fati6 years agoAmor fatiYes. I commit for today.. Tomorrow i will i hope remember to commit once again…… for one day …..knowing that everything has changed from what it was the day before. 1 Reply KC6 years agoKCThis is a challenging invitation.! I believe whole heartedly that how I live today has an impact on the world, however small and subtle. I commit to making the best, most conscious choices I can about how and where I focus my attention and energy. I also commit to practicing loving kindness and forgiveness towards myself and those I meet. Whole throwing my wee pebbles in the pond today, my I intention is to bring lots of kindness, peace and joy in the waves and splashes! ????????????????... This is a challenging invitation.! By bringing awareness to my inner and outer life I can have a positive impact. 2 Reply Angell6 years agoAngellWith the commitment I have to creating more love and beauty in the world I choose healthy habits daily which indeed have a rippling effect on the world WE live in. I love the earth and it’s inhabitants! I make a concerted effort to live the change I want to see in the world. I am grateful for the consciousness yet fully celebrate my imperfections. 2 Reply Ricki Grantmyre6 years agoRicki GrantmyreWow, this means not always living with a sense of ease, a sense of entitlement, but understanding, knowing my actions impact my world, our world for good or bad. Will I have the courage, the selflessness to do that? I pray so, but know I will often fall short. I am thankful for forgiveness! 3 Reply Deb6 years agoDebI am aware of “the butterfly effect” and that what I do has an impact on the world. Do I really believe it? Does it matter? I do what I do because I am attempting to live at one with God. If it has an impact on the world, fine and good. Impacting the world writ large is not my goal. I can barely even comprehend the world let alone the universe. I can commit to the knowledge that what I do can have an impact beyond what I know or intend. 2 Reply Barbara Morris6 years agoBarbara MorrisNo…that’s a lot of pressure! Haha 3 Reply Michael6 years agoMichaelWe are all connected through our energy. So much negative energy…we have to keep spreading gratefulness n joy. System shifts require us to put in the daily work 3 Reply Learner6 years agoLearner«All that I do has an impact on the wold…..» is that really so? How can my doings matter for the rest of the world? The sun startes to shine right now and the weather is not so cold, minus 5 celsius degrees. I will take a walk and bring todays question with me. Excited to notice if it will change something in how I meet the world:) Let’s see! 4 Reply Javier Visionquest6 years agoJavier VisionquestSome days more than others: Today I’ll be behind the wheel of a large moving truck so words like “impact” can be a little triggery 3 Reply Amor fati6 years agoAmor fatiHah Hah! 0 Reply Kevin6 years agoKevinSure, this one is easy to commit to, because I believe it to be. The real challenge though is becoming clear specifically on what to commit to with passion in order to have the greatest impact for good on the world as a whole. 2 Reply Antoinette6 years agoAntoinetteI am grateful for this life an all its possibilities and opportunities to love and grow. I’m grateful to commit to be a light of love that will not die.
