I have a roof over my head, food to feed me when i'm hungry, a duvet to keep me warm, hot water to cleanse me and clothes to shield me from the cold. today I can (like every day) educate my fellow white Americans about white privilege and racism. That it's not a personal attack on my fellow white Americans. It's an awareness building regarding the systems that historically and currently work against people of color. It's not about blame and it's not about victimhood...it's about facts and what can we do collectively to make this country work right for everyone. I can do the same each day regarding Male privilege and educate my fellow male...
today I can (like every day) educate my fellow white Americans about white privilege and racism. That it’s not a personal attack on my fellow white Americans. It’s an awareness building regarding the systems that historically and currently work against people of color. It’s not about blame and it’s not about victimhood…it’s about facts and what can we do collectively to make this country work right for everyone. I can do the same each day regarding Male privilege and educate my fellow males regarding sexism and what can we do to eradicate it.
One of the privileges is that I have 2 legs and can walk independently. When I take my daily walk I pick up litter/trash on the road where I live and I recycle what I am able to. I am blessed with so many privileges and profoundly grateful!!!
This is an excellent and rather sobering question. I am embarrassed to say that I could fill a page with a list of all of my privileges, so thank you for asking for just one. My answer: “Pay attention, and look for those moments, often hidden, to ask, “How may I help?”
I can afford to stop, to wait, to listen and to contribute wherever and however I can. These too, are privileges.
One of the small ways I do this is by being very careful how much water I use. Water is precious; so many in the world suffer from its lack. I try to shut it off while I am using it, perhaps to wash my hands or clean the dishes. This is one way I can conserve the natural resources I am blessed with. I also try to save electricity for the same reasons.
It is one of my privileges that I am healthy and strong and have enough to eat.
Today I am giving 1 person who has not enough to eat (additional) to eat enough . –
When I am writing this I feel as it is to “cheap; still I will do it! May be the richness starts when I have the experience of it today.

This is a good reminder to be grateful. Grateful for all I have. and for the abilities that I still have.
