I see grateful living to be a jumping off point to all good things. The world needs this, and I hope to be able to share what I can with the children. Last year was a very difficult year for me so I will require lots of help from God to be the person I want to be for the children. 1 Reply Gina7 years agoGinaKnowing that there is always ENOUGH! Believing in abundance by my actions…sharing, giving, and most importantly being kind…….. 1 Reply Mary7 years agoMaryI echo your last few words as words to live by. The most important thing is to be kind. So great to hear from you!! Do you know that I have been thinking about you for the last few weeks! You know my cat Billy was sick and I had trouble getting him to eat? At that time you suggested that he might like something sweet and sticky. You know my cat Billy was sick and I had trouble getting him to eat? At that time you suggested that he might like something sweet and sticky. Well I skipped the sweet part but started buying pate’ style cat food which I would beat up to lighten it up and also make it stick a bit to his pallet and tongue. Success!! I don’t think I thanked you for that idea although I was crazy happy that he started eating again. Well about a month ago he stopped eating again…. Again thinking about sticky, sticking to his pallet and tongue, I thought about really getting his food creamy in a small food processor. Well it comes out looking like cake batter and guess who is eating his food right up. Crazy little cat, I am not sure what else is wrong with him, but now that he is eating he is doing much better. So thanks, Debbie for the sweet and sticky advice. It has helped to save him from himself for a second time. I was so pleased when I saw your icon on the board this evening. I am up past my bed time but I just had to reply. Please tell me how you have been doing, your poetry your art and just stuff in general. I continue to miss you on this site but I know you have to do what is best for you. Thanks for posting. I would love to hear more from you you! Attention. Attention. Gratefulness follows. Then it is: Compassion. Compassion. Compassion. Oneness realized, love takes over. Peace follows. 2 Reply KaizenKyng7 years agoKaizenKyngWhen you live a grateful life, I feel it rubs off on other people. I can afford to send a modest sum of money to support a badly needed project that benefits disadvantaged people. I have the time to show up on a Tuesday at nine with a protest sign somewhere. And because I live where I do, I can participate in my faith community, for worship and in our Quaker commitment to engage in social justice issues around town or around the world without fear of governmental repression or violence. The greatest detriment and trap really, of abundance and gratefulness, is not to be lulled into a contentment of inaction and blindness. I am on guard for this and I know there is always room for improvement. – Kevin Read More7 Reply Karen7 years agoKarenBeautiful, Kevin. 0 Reply Always Learning7 years agoAlways LearningTo me, living gratefully opens the doors to connection… and that encourages me to get involved in ways I can influence, change, and support others. Change begins as a seed that needs to germinate and grow. Living gratefully opens me up to supporting that seed as it grows. I look back at ways others have done this, and it really fills my “gratitude bucket.” 3 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
