It doesn’t mean we always live up to them, but it’s a reminder to try. Simply put, I want to live my life with integrity and joy. If I have an issue, I want to talk to the person involved, not fume about it w/someone else. I want to honor planet Earth and honor my bond with her animals. 4 Reply Elaine6 years agoElaineWords on my parents’ memorial bench: “Enjoy your life. Do what’s right. One of the core values to me is to trust, not to follow fear but trust. To keep a balance in this, while neither overdoing nor denying what is there. To trust in the good of others is essential for change and to follow the impulses cultivated through this focus will lead to trustworthy results wherever this is realized. As well for me personally, it is essential to trust in the good of people and situations and not to follow my former fear to be “out”, grateful for those who helped and still help me enormously to let go of possible residues left. To trust that hinderances are obstacles to learn from and to understand their message, so that in the future, they won´t be needed further. In my case, the formerly fixed tendency to be afraid to be dismissed brought situations where the fear has been provoked in a kind of a self-fulfilling prophesy and caused much pain in all concerned. To have been able to become aware of it fully gives reason to change and to let go. I cannot express enough how grateful I am and how humble I feel towards the ones who have offered enormous help on this path. With this inner balance and kind of widened self-awareness, I am hoping that future projects will be able to be realized together with trusted friends. That is enough. 5 Reply Jeff6 years agoJeffAll other values flow from love. 3 Reply Kevin6 years agoKevinMaybe it’s just me, but to answer today’s question for some reason feels like boasting or bragging and it makes me uneasy. I make it my mission to go with the strengths that I have every day, in words and deeds, and leave it at that. My maker knows who and what I am, and I can only hope and pray that the grace and presence of the Spirit itself helps to guide and shape my values. 4 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
