Often at lunch, I find myself sitting alone because my friends aren’t in there, but today they were in the cafeteria, so I had some time to enjoy their companionship. It is really nice to socialize sometimes, something I have not been doing a lot of lately because of my busy work and school schedules. 3 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteI haven’t been around my immediate family for the past week and it’s been really challenging for me. But I have a few friends who are also loved ones, and they have reached out to check up on me. I am grateful for people at work, people who I volunteer with and for, as well as good friends. All beings can be loved ones. 3 Reply Anonymous7 years agoAnonymousThe fact that, without saying it, I know my family is there for me when I need them 2 Reply Michael7 years agoMichaelTheir presence. 3 Reply kathleen7 years agokathleenMy day is too early to comment on. But yesterday I had the gift of friendship at my meditation group. These are the loved ones in my spiritual circle. When I came home my husband greeted me warmly and we a little time to chat about the day. But these connections while short revive me. I called my son briefly to catch up and again a few minutes of conversation means so much to me. 2 Reply Palm7 years agoPalmIt was not intended as a gift but husband and daughter have gone to see her grandparents till tomorrow and they have given me much needed time on my own ???? 4 Reply Julie7 years agoJulieThe gift I received early this morning was my beloved complaining about the new alarm clock I bought and how bright the lights are on it. It reminded me to be grateful for the little and big things in my life. It also reminded me how important our frame of mind is in shaping our day. 3 Reply Christina7 years agoChristinaYesterday, I visited Mom. I brought her clean laundry and took down her garbage and recyclables. She gave me three large Greek yogurts, a bag of sweet potatoes, broths for my cat Lucy, and a package of toilet paper. We do this exchange every Wednesday. 4 Reply Patjos7 years agoPatjosThe opportunity for me to help out at home during the daily disorder that we call breakfast time! Lots of special heartfelt hugs before leaving for work this morning. 3 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinIt’s so early that I haven’t seen any loved ones yet today…not even our dog, Gracie! That said, I know too that my entire family surrounds me just one and two towns away, grandkids and all. And as the rhythm of each day unfolds we’re in continuous communication any one of them for all sorts of reasons. Oftentimes, just knowing that they’re there is greatest gift one can have. – Kevin 3 Reply Always Learning7 years agoAlways LearningThey listened to me when I really needed to talk. They were nonjudgmental and reassuring. EVERYONE deserves this. ❤️???????????????? 4 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
