I can express gratitude through love and joy and living a balanced live free from judgements.
I realized for the first time, as I meditated on this question, that, as a survivor of violence, the most powerful way I express gratitude is when I allow myself to open to life and refuse to run and hide in fear and shame.
What a powerful realization, Sharon! Blessings to you of continued opening. By courageously sharing, you help others, including me. Thank you.
I write a note to a person. If possible, I meet with the individual and read the note out loud.
I’m less than consistent in expressions of gratitude through words and deeds. I guess that’s why I’m here – ever learning!
A deep breath, in and out, followed by a ????????????
Prayer, poetry, laughter, kinship.
By pausing long enough before each turn of the day to recognize my next best action.
With arms raised towards the moon and stars. On my hands and knees before a tiny wildflower. In words silently uttered by my heart. In song. In looping cursive letters on the page. With the tapping of a keyboard. In the folding of freshly laundered clothes. In the sanding and oiling of an axe blade.
The way I express gratitude is by being my best me. How I live, relate, think……
By going slowly enough through my life that I can be aware of life’s many gifts.
Your avatar shows us this mentality Madame!
By acknowledging others more than myself. Gratitude unlocks my little ego cage so I can do this cheerfully and it increases gratitude and keeps me out of the self-imposed prison cell!
Dear Trevor, hold a space in your heart for yourself, acknowledging your need of love, as everyone else on this earth. You are worthy of Kindness and gratefulness, and as you let yourself surrender to this feeling, your gratitude towards others will flow like a large and long river.
being content bringing attention to it. and if that is not possible working with the heart to bring it forward and turning towards it in a practice such as what we do here.
I like to close my eyes and meditate on G-d, then just repeat the word “G-d” over and over in my head until I can see a light starting to form behind my eyelids. This is my way of saying thank you, because in these moments I let everything else disappear and experience what’s real and true. However, it takes a lot to get to this place, usually exercise and a tranquil natural surrounding, like a beach or forest. It's harder to do in every day life in the chaos of experiences. This is my way of saying thank you, because in these moments I let everything else disappear and experience what’s real and true. However, it takes a lot to get to this place, usually exercise and a tranquil natural surrounding, like a beach or forest. It’s harder to do in every day life in the chaos of experiences. But, it’s something I strive to master even in a crowded bus station or when someone is hurting me emotionally.
I love the recognition here that we carry around the inner freedom of choice necessary to be our wisest selves
Wonderful!
For some odd reason, the word “express” in today’s question made me think of “express mail”, which made me think of how quickly, spontaneously and joyfully a young child can sometimes “express” his or her gratitude. There is no delay, no wondering about how the gratitude might be received. I hope I can, at least occasionally, “express” my gratitude to Creator or another person in such a “childish” manner.
My goodness I read it wrong! Thought it was Bookkeeper! Like the Pagemaster!
Treat those bees with love hombre!!????
You name is so delectable to the mind over here amigo ????????
Giving thanks through kindness in words and deeds, giving with an open heart, through care and prayer.
I express gratitude, hopefully, with my voice, my actions and my heart.
Smiling.
Thinking good thoughts and doing good deeds for all the things I have received and continue to receive.
Very well then I bow to that!
