Palm7 years agoPalmJust noticed that there is a pattern: more solitude and play time, doing things that appeal to me at that moment with no timelines/duties, leads to more optimism Also, good sleep —> more optimism More humor —> more optimism 1 Reply Hot Sauce7 years agoHot SauceIt seems that the more spiritually aware I am and the more I learn, the more reality seems to make sense and I feel optimistic, even about the difficult times. When life is more confusing and I am low in awareness, the world can seem confusing and gloomy, so it is important for me to keep learning and to cultivate spiritual awareness. 3 Reply Always Learning7 years agoAlways LearningI feel optimistic when I stop to understand that each day is a fresh, clean page to write on 3 Reply Ose7 years agoOseUsually I do believe in the good outcome of things, that healing of whatever is not yet healed is a kind of intended universal and divine principle. I would say that doing the best I can, supporting others whenever I am able to in the best way I am able to, being kind and compassionate, and being grateful for any expression of life helps unfolding life at its best for everyone, including me. Usually I do believe in the good outcome of things, that healing of whatever is not yet healed is a kind of intended universal and divine principle. I would say that doing the best I can, supporting others whenever I am able to in the best way I am able to, being kind and compassionate, and being grateful for any expression of life helps unfolding life at its best for everyone, including me. The positive experience when approaching life like this works nearly like a perpetuum mobile, it works into the positive direction for all related, like a pendulum inspiring you and me and back to you and me, nearly without any effort then. Still, for not to fall too much into the direction of optimism or sometimes not to loose faith, I need to call myself back to the midst of things, which is questioning in a kind of open way like … is it so? and leave things free, find inner stillness and let something else lead instead of assuming into the one or opposite direction. Sometimes it carries me back and forth between thoughts, like now, as I think about what you have shared here….. 0 Reply Marnie7 years agoMarnieI work at being an optimist in the ways you describe, but feel lately that the world is making it harder than ever for me to me remain optimistic. So, I like your questions. 0 Reply Pilgrim7 years agoPilgrimI tend to feel more optimistic in the morning toward what the day may bring, or what I could bring to the day. It doesn’t happen every day, but since I have my share of bad or disappointing days, it is a gift to know that each day I can start fresh. 4 Reply Elaine7 years agoElaineI am optimistic when I can let my ego get out of the way and surrender my life to doing God’s work. He always takes me to the right place, I always receive gifts greater than I could imagine. I have no idea how this happens, I wish it happened more often. 4 Reply Lynne7 years agoLynneThat is a continual process for me because my ego is never completely out of the way…it keeps wanting to edge back in…EGO….edging God out. And when I am stressed it is so easy to default back to old behaviors and thoughts….so thanks for the reminder. 1 Reply Susan7 years agoSusanWhen I take the time to reflect to connect to the higher Source and to my higher self. 2 Reply Michael7 years agoMichaelI honestly assess myself as continuously optimistic. however, I do feel more optimistic after a motivational video, reading a passage in a book/article, hear inspiration on radio/podcast/CD, listen in person to an incredible story of overcoming. the execution of that optimism/what am I producing with that optimism is most key to me. 2 Reply Elaine7 years agoElaineHow did it become a regular pattern for you? 0 Reply Anita7 years agoAnitaI feel optimistic when life is flowing smoothly. When my heart is lighter. When goals are achieved. When walking in nature or by the sea. ????????♥️ 2 Reply Christina7 years agoChristinaSometimes when I am relieved from my responsibilities for a bit. I’m thinking of a bus trip I took in to Manhattan to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. I didn’t have to drive and could full enjoy my beloved walking all over midtown. I visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral, lit a candle for my struggling sister, bought my Mom a NYC knitted cap, and just completely & thoroughly enjoyed myself. Then I got on the bus and left the ride home to the driver. It was great and I felt invigorated and thoroughly connected to the Great Source! I’m looking forward to doing it again this year. My wife and I are thinking about doing just what you described, perhaps in the fall once my back heals more from recent surgery. 1 Reply Christina7 years agoChristinaI need a city-fix every once in awhile. How are you feeling, Kevin? 0 Reply Anna7 years agoAnnaDear Christina, Sometimes I fear to seem a strange woman, because I like the cities. I live in a little village, it is not far from Milano (which is such a little city in comparison to yours!!!) and when I go there I feel a special energy, I am not able to describe it well. Some friends of mine don’t understand, because the open nature is much more inspiring. Yes, I agree, yet this energy is something flowing into my body. So, I relate to your insight and I love this city…. 2 Reply Christina7 years agoChristinaThanks for sharing, Anna! My people come from Gubbio, near Perugia. I’ve been there twice, a long time ago, to visit them. It’s a beautiful place! 2 Reply Elaine7 years agoElaineThat’s funny you said that, I feel the same way in that city. I live in LA and ave gone back 4 times in a year just to feel that. 0 Reply Christina7 years agoChristinaIt’s that city energy. 1 Reply Anita7 years agoAnitaSounds wonderful Christina. ☺️ 1 Reply Christina7 years agoChristinaIt was! 2 Reply Kevin7 years agoKevinWhen I have undertaken some kind of project or endeavor and have put time and various resources into making it happen then yes, I am optimistic about its outcome. I feel that it’s important to have some good energy and vibe attending to anything I may be undertaking, otherwise why bother? If there’s a pattern, it’s only because the optimism tends to accompany the activity or project I am doing at a given time. – Kevin 1 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
